ABOUT THE ATHLON MIDAS SERIES

The Athlon Midas dot sight series brings together Athlon's compact red dots, prism sights, and magnifiers for close- and medium-range shooting. The series is aimed at shooters who want fast target acquisition on rifles, pistol-caliber carbines, shotguns, and handguns, whether for competition, hunting, or personal defense.

The line covers several sight types. Pistol red dots such as the Midas EDC, Midas EDC Pro, Midas Beam, Midas Burst, and Midas Flash are built for slide mounting. Rail-mounted red dot sights such as the Midas Strobe and Midas Blaze are intended for long guns. The Midas Flare prism sights are available in 1×, 3×, and 5× versions with an etched reticle, and the Midas M3 and M5 magnifiers extend the effective range of a red dot when placed behind it.

ABOUT THE MODEL (ATHLON MIDAS BLAZE)

The Athlon Midas Blaze is a 1× red dot sight with a 25 mm objective lens, designed for fast shooting at close range on AR rifles, pistol-caliber carbines, and shotguns. It is equally suited to competition, hunting at short distances, and home defense setups.

The 2 MOA red dot strikes a balance between speed and precision. It is large enough to find quickly when the rifle comes up, yet small enough not to cover the target at longer distances. With unlimited eye relief and 1× magnification, the sight can be used at any comfortable head position and with both eyes open, which keeps your field of view wide and improves situational awareness.

Brightness is set with + and − buttons on the side of the housing, offering 10 illumination settings. A lock mode prevents accidental changes to brightness or switching off, and the sight remembers the last setting after a battery change. The motion-sensing function puts the sight to sleep after 5 minutes without movement and wakes it instantly when the firearm is moved, contributing to the 50,000-hour battery life.

Windage and elevation are adjusted in 0.5 MOA clicks, approximately 1.45 cm at 100 m, using the included tool or a coin. This allows a precise zero without making adjustments slow.

The sight comes with two mounting heights for the Picatinny rail. The high mount gives a 1.57" center height and a lower 1/3 co-witness with AR iron sights, and the low riser gives a 0.82" center height for shotguns and other low-profile platforms. At 71 mm long and 156 g, the Midas Blaze adds little bulk or weight to the firearm.
