Gamo 6x40 WR

• Fixed 6x magnification: A constant 6x view keeps the sight picture simple and repeatable, which helps airgun and rimfire shooters settle quickly on small targets without adjusting power.
• 40 mm objective lens: The larger front lens supports a bright, easy-to-read image and a generous 6.67 mm exit pupil, making target acquisition more comfortable in mixed light.
• Parallax set for airgun distances: With parallax fixed at 30 m, this scope is tuned for the shorter ranges where air rifles are commonly used, reducing aiming error in typical field and range shooting.
• Waterproof, fogproof and shockproof build: The sealed construction is better suited to outdoor use and repeated recoil from spring-piston airguns, helping the scope stay dependable in changing weather.
• Included dovetail mounts: The supplied mounts and 3/8-inch dovetail fit make installation straightforward on many air rifles, so the scope is ready for a practical airgun setup.

About the 6X WR Series

The Gamo WR series is built around the needs of the airgun market, where scopes must cope with short to medium shooting distances, compact rifle setups and the particular recoil behavior of spring-powered air rifles. In Gamo’s optics range, these models sit as straightforward, field-ready sights that focus on practical magnification, familiar handling and durable construction rather than complex adjustment systems. The series uses a classic 1-inch tube format and a simple hunting-style layout that suits plinking, pest control and general target shooting.

Within the range, WR models are defined by their waterproof and fogproof construction, fully coated lenses and conventional reticle layouts intended for quick, uncluttered aiming. They are designed for shooters who want an optic that is easy to mount, easy to understand and well matched to common air rifle distances. Instead of emphasizing long-range dialing or specialized tactical features, the WR concept centers on a clear sight picture, dependable weather resistance and dimensions that work well on lightweight sporting rifles.

About the Gamo 6x40 WR

The Gamo 6x40 WR is a fixed-power riflescope aimed at shooters who want a simple optic for air rifles and rimfire-style use. Its 6x magnification gives enough image scale for precise aiming on small targets, while avoiding the extra weight and complexity of a variable-power design. That makes it a sensible match for general field shooting, informal target work and airgun hunting at the distances where a fixed setting is often all that is needed.

The combination of a 40.00 mm objective lens and a 6.67 mm exit pupil helps deliver a bright, relaxed view. In practice, this makes it easier to maintain a full sight picture and stay comfortable during longer shooting sessions. The fully coated lenses support image clarity, while the fixed parallax setting at 30 m is better aligned with typical compressed-air shooting distances than a centerfire-oriented scope would be.

This model keeps its controls straightforward. The capped turrets protect the windage and elevation adjustments from accidental movement during transport or field use, which suits a scope that is meant to be zeroed and left alone. A non-illuminated reticle keeps the view clean and uncomplicated in daylight conditions. The 25.4 mm tube, waterproof and fogproof construction, shockproof housing and included mounts all reinforce the same idea: a practical airgun scope that is easy to fit and dependable in regular outdoor use.

About Gamo

Gamo introduced its first air rifles to the Spanish market in 1961, establishing the company in the field of sporting airguns. The company lists its business address in Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain, and its product range extends beyond rifles to include air pistols, ammunition and accessories. That broad focus helps explain why Gamo also offers an optics line tailored to the practical needs of airgun shooters.

In addition to riflescopes, Gamo’s optics range includes binoculars, spotting scopes, red-dot sights and scope mounts. The brand is also known for proprietary airgun technologies such as Inert Gas Technology, which replaces a traditional spring powerplant with a pneumatic cylinder, and Whisper sound-dampening systems in selected air rifles. This background in airgun design is directly relevant to products like the 6x40 WR, which are configured around common air rifle shooting distances and mounting standards.
