Sightron SIII PLR 10-50x60 Riflescopes

• 10-50x magnification range: The wide zoom span lets the scope cover precise load development, benchrest work and very small targets at long distance, while still backing off enough for easier target acquisition and mirage management.
• 60 mm objective lens: A large front lens supports a bright, usable image across the magnification range, which helps when aiming at fine details or reading bullet holes in difficult light.
• Tactical turrets with Zero Stop: Resettable multi-turn turrets with a zero stop make repeatable elevation changes easier to manage, so the scope suits shooters who dial corrections rather than hold over.
• Side focus from 13 yds to infinity: Broad parallax adjustment helps keep the target and reticle on the same visual plane from short-range setup work to long-range shooting, reducing aiming error at high magnification.
• Illuminated reticle and fast-focus eyepiece: The illuminated center aids reticle visibility against dark targets, while the fast-focus eyepiece speeds up reticle sharpening for different eyesight and shooting positions.

About the Sightron SIII PLR Series

The Sightron SIII PLR series is the Precision Long Range branch of Sightron’s SIII riflescope family, built for shooters who want a scope centered on dialing accuracy, high magnification and long-distance target work. Within Sightron’s lineup, the PLR models sit above general-purpose hunting optics and focus more directly on long-range target shooting and hunting where precise adjustment and fine aiming matter more than compact size.

The series combines several features that define its character: ExacTrack windage and elevation adjustment, Zact-7 Revcoat Plus lens coating, an internal zero stop and oversized tactical turrets that reset to zero. Sightron also offers the line with both first- and second-focal-plane reticle options, giving shooters a choice between constant reticle subtension behavior or a finer aiming appearance at high magnification. Across the range, the black satin finish and high-visibility markings reflect a practical design approach aimed at clear handling on the firing line. Current SIII PLR models include 6-24x50, 8-32x56 and 10-50x60 configurations, each intended for users who prioritize optical precision, repeatable tracking and a scope layout suited to deliberate long-range shooting.

About the Sightron SIII PLR 10-50x60 Riflescopes

The Sightron SIII PLR 10-50x60 is the highest-magnification model in the series, built for shooters who need to resolve very small targets and make fine aiming corrections at extended distance. Its 10-50x magnification and 60 mm objective lens make it especially well suited to benchrest, target competition and precision load testing, where seeing exact point of aim matters as much as mechanical repeatability. At lower power, the scope remains easier to settle behind; at the top end, it gives the image scale needed for careful shot placement and target evaluation.

This model uses a second focal plane illuminated reticle, so the reticle keeps the same apparent size through the zoom range. In practice, that preserves a fine aiming picture at high magnification and avoids the reticle appearing overly thick when the scope is dialed up for precise work. The side-mounted illumination supports visibility against dark aiming marks, while the 0.60 MOA dot helps define a precise central aiming reference.

Mechanically, the scope is configured for dial-based shooting with tactical resettable turrets, 20 MOA per revolution and a Zero Stop system that gives a clear return point after elevation changes. Side focus adjustment from 13 yds to infinity is particularly important on a 50x optic, where parallax error becomes more noticeable. A 30 mm one-piece aluminum tube, nitrogen filling and waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction support reliable use on serious target rifles in changing weather and repeated recoil.

About Sightron

Sightron was originally based in Miami, Florida, and later moved its headquarters to North Carolina. The company began with red-dot sights before expanding into hunting riflescopes and target scopes, and it now also offers binoculars and spotting scopes. That background is reflected in a product range that covers both field use and more specialized precision shooting applications.

For riflescopes, Sightron is particularly known for features such as ExacTrack, its windage and elevation adjustment system used in several scope series, and Zact-7 Revcoat, its multicoating technology for optical lenses. The brand’s riflescope families include SII, SIIB Big Sky, SIII, S-TAC and SV, with the SIII line occupying an important place for shooters who want Japanese-made optics with a strong emphasis on repeatable tracking and long-range capability. Sightron riflescopes are manufactured in Japan, a detail that is closely associated with the brand’s reputation in this category.
