Element Optics Nexus 5-20x50 FFP

• First Focal Plane Reticle: The reticle scales with magnification, so holdovers and ranging references stay consistent from 5x to 20x. That makes the scope easier to use for practical long-range shooting where magnification often changes between stages or field positions.
• 5-20x Magnification Range: This zoom range gives the Nexus broad utility, from precise zeroing and mid-range target work to detailed shot placement at longer distances. It suits shooters who want one riflescope for both practice and competition-style use.
• Mechanical Zero Stop: The zero stop lets the elevation turret return positively to the original zero without counting revolutions. In practice, this speeds up corrections and reduces the chance of dialing past zero under time pressure.
• 30 mm Tube with Tactical Turrets: The 30 mm main tube provides substantial internal adjustment, while the exposed tactical turrets are built for regular dialing. This combination supports repeatable elevation changes for distance shooting rather than a set-and-forget setup.
• Fully Multicoated, Nitrogen-Purged Construction: Fully multicoated lenses help preserve contrast and image brightness, while the waterproof, fogproof and shockproof housing is built for hard outdoor use in changing weather and recoil conditions.

About the Element Optics Nexus Series

The Element Optics Nexus series sits at the top of the company’s traditional riflescope range and is positioned as its flagship line. It is built for shooters who expect precise tracking, dependable mechanical adjustment and a reticle system that supports measured shooting rather than simple center-point aiming. Across the series, Element Optics pairs a 30 mm main tube with a 50 mm objective lens, giving the platform a practical balance between mounting flexibility, light-gathering ability and internal adjustment travel.

A defining part of the Nexus concept is its focus on usable long-range features. The series uses illuminated first-focal-plane reticles, so subtensions remain accurate throughout the magnification range, and it is offered with both MRAD and MOA reticle options to match different shooter preferences. Reticle choices range from cleaner layouts to more detailed holdover designs, allowing the series to serve target shooters, practical competitors and hunters who want a dialing-capable optic. Shared features such as tool-free resettable turrets, a mechanical zero stop and a removable magnification throw lever reflect a design philosophy centered on speed, repeatability and straightforward field handling.

About the Element Optics Nexus 5-20x50 FFP

The Element Optics Nexus 5-20x50 FFP is a versatile tactical riflescope built around a magnification range that covers both deliberate mid-range shooting and more precise work at distance. At 5-20x, it offers enough low-end magnification for finding targets quickly from supported positions, while the upper end gives the detail needed for reading small aiming points and refining shot placement. The 50 mm objective lens helps maintain a usable image as magnification rises, and the fully multicoated optical system supports contrast and clarity in mixed light.

This model is configured with an illuminated first-focal-plane reticle, which is especially useful for shooters who alternate between holding and dialing. Because the reticle remains proportional to the target image, hold values stay true at any power setting. The illumination adds visibility against darker backgrounds, while the side-focus parallax adjustment from 10 m to infinity helps sharpen the image and reduce aiming error across a wide range of distances.

The mechanical layout is aimed squarely at repeatable adjustment. Exposed tactical turrets, 23.2 mrad of elevation travel and a mechanical zero stop make the scope well suited to rifles used for precision shooting, field matches and load development. A 350 mm body length and 794 g weight keep it substantial enough for stable mounting without becoming excessively bulky, while the waterproof, fogproof, shockproof and nitrogen-filled construction supports reliable use in demanding outdoor conditions.

About Element Optics

Element Optics AB is based in Mariestad, Sweden, and its design team includes members from Sweden, South Africa, and the United States. The company began work on its first riflescope, the Nexus, in 2018, and built its reputation around optics intended for practical shooting rather than purely catalog-driven specifications. Its product development focuses on riflescopes, electro-optics and shooting accessories for sporting, hunting, and competition shooting with both airguns and firearms.

The company’s lineup includes the Helix, Titan, Nexus, and Theos riflescope families, alongside rangefinders and binoculars. Within this range, Element Optics is known for combining shooter-oriented reticle choices, dialing-friendly turret systems and robust mechanical design. That background is especially relevant to the Nexus, which reflects the brand’s emphasis on precise tracking, practical reticle layouts and field durability for serious rifle use.
