ABOUT THE MODEL (ATN IR 1K SUPERMAX PLUS MOUNT)

The ATN IR 1K SuperMax plus Mount is a long-range infrared illuminator designed to get more performance out of digital day/night optics after dark. Digital night vision devices rely on infrared light to produce a clear image in total darkness, and the range at which a target can be seen is largely determined by how much IR light reaches it. By adding a dedicated, high-output IR source, the IR 1K SuperMax allows targets to be detected and identified at distances of up to 500 metres.

ATN classifies the illuminator as a Class 1 IR laser device. Its fully focusable beam is one of its most practical features: a wide flood setting illuminates a broad area for scanning fields, forest edges and pastures, while the pinpoint spotlight setting concentrates the light into a narrow beam to reveal detail on distant animals. Combined with four brightness levels, this gives the user precise control over the illumination, whether observing game at close range or reaching across open terrain.

This version is supplied with an adjustable mount, which allows the IR beam to be aligned accurately with the optic's field of view. Correct alignment is essential with a long-range illuminator, as a narrow, focused beam that is not centred on the reticle wastes much of its effective range. The set also includes a battery and charger, so the illuminator is ready for use straight out of the box.

The ATN IR 1K SuperMax plus Mount is a natural companion for ATN digital day/night riflescopes such as the X-Sight 5, X-Sight 4K Pro and X-Sight LTV series. It is well suited to night hunting of wild boar and predators, as well as wildlife observation, property surveillance and search-and-rescue work, where extended visibility in complete darkness is essential.
