Burris RT-6 1-6x24 (Kit) Product description

  • 1-6x LPVO range: The true 1x setting supports fast, both-eyes-open shooting at close distance, while 6x magnification gives enough reach and target detail for practical mid-range work.
  • Second focal plane illuminated reticle: The rear focal plane design keeps the reticle visually consistent through the zoom range, making it easy to pick up quickly, and the red illumination helps the center stand out against dark targets.
  • Compact, competition-oriented layout: At 262.00 mm, the scope stays short for easier handling on carbines, helping maintain balance and leaving useful rail space for accessories.
  • Combo kit configuration: This kit combines the RT-6 riflescope, FastFire 3 red dot sight, and P.E.P.R. mount, giving a ready-made setup for fast transitions between magnified and unmagnified aiming.
  • Field-ready construction: Nitrogen filling, waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction help the scope stay reliable through weather changes, recoil, and hard use on hunting or tactical rifles.

About the Burris RT-6 Series

The Burris RT-6 series is built around the needs of competition and tactical shooting, where speed at short range and useful magnification at distance have to coexist in one optic. Burris positions the RT-6 as a low-power variable riflescope family for carbines and modern sporting rifles, with a format that favors quick handling and rapid target acquisition rather than bench-oriented bulk. A defining part of the series is its true 1x setting, which supports both-eyes-open shooting for close targets, while the upper end of the zoom range gives enough precision for practical engagements farther out.

Across the series, Burris combines a trajectory-compensating reticle with 11 brightness settings, a short overall profile, and an integrated adjustable throw lever that can be repositioned on the magnification ring. The RT-6 line is also offered in both stand-alone riflescope and tactical-kit variants, reflecting its role as a flexible platform for 3-gun, range use, and defensive-style rifle setups. Waterproof, shockproof, fogproof, and nitrogen-filled construction reinforce the series’ practical focus on reliability in changing field conditions.

About the Burris RT-6 1-6x24 (Kit)

The Burris RT-6 1-6x24 (Kit) is aimed at shooters who want a complete LPVO setup for close-to-medium-range rifle use without piecing the system together separately. Its 1.00-6.00 x magnification range covers the two jobs that matter most in this category: rapid engagement at low power and more deliberate shot placement when the distance opens up. The generous 32.30 m/100m field of view on low power helps with fast target pickup and movement through stages or confined terrain, while the narrower 5.60 m/100m view at 6x supports more careful holds on smaller or more distant targets.

The scope uses a second focal plane reticle, which keeps the reticle’s apparent size stable as magnification changes. In practice, that gives a familiar sight picture at every setting and helps the center remain easy to see when speed matters most. Red illumination adds contrast in dim backgrounds, and the capped turrets are well suited to a rifle that is carried, slung, or used dynamically, since they protect the settings from accidental movement. With 79.00 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment, the optic still offers enough internal travel for common carbine zeroing needs.

What makes this version distinct is the kit itself: it includes the RT-6 riflescope, a FastFire 3 red dot sight, and a P.E.P.R. mount. That combination gives the rifle a practical dual-sight arrangement, with the magnified optic handling general use and the red dot supporting immediate close-range aiming. The 30 mm tube, fully multicoated lenses, fast-focus eyepiece, and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof build round out a riflescope package designed for hard use on modern carbines.

About Burris

Burris was founded in 1971 and takes its name from founder Don Burris. The company is headquartered in Greeley, Colorado, United States, and focuses on sporting optics and mounting solutions across hunting and tactical categories. Its product range includes riflescopes, red-dot and reflex sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, thermal optics, rings, and mounts, which reflects a long-standing specialization in aiming systems for rifles and field use.

Several Burris developments are especially relevant to this riflescope. The company began marketing the Fullfield riflescope series in 1975, introduced the Ballistic Plex trajectory-compensating reticle in 2000, and launched the FastFire mini red-dot reflex sight in 2007. In 2010, Burris introduced the Eliminator riflescope, combining laser rangefinding with automatic bullet-drop compensation. Burris became part of Beretta Holdings in 2002, reinforcing its place as an established optics brand with strong roots in practical rifle sighting systems.

Can it be mounted on a 300 win mag?
Dali moze da se montira na 300 win mag ?

by Dragan

Dear Sir/Madam,

Yes, the Burris RT-6 1-6×24 scope itself can withstand the recoil of a .300 Win Mag. However, the included mount is a cantilever type and is offset forward, which is suitable for semi-automatic rifles.
On a repeater, this will likely result in the eyepiece to be too far away. For a .300 Win Mag on a repeater, we recommend a standard mount without offset forward to maintain proper eyepiece distance.

Thank you for your understanding.

best price/performance

I bought the Burris RT-6 as a Kit, which is a perfect entry to the world of scoped carbine shooting. The RT-6 is already mounted in the PEPR mount and has the the Fast Fire 3 Reddot mounted on top, if you get yourself the Kit version. The eyebox of the RT-6 is big, the glass is clear and the Bulletdrop Compensator (altough it's an SFP) is actually very precise. I am using the glass since years on my HK MR223 and shot several "brutality" matches with it. Best was 7th place in armored division at Lynx Brutality in slovenia. After all these years of usage all is working great, never had an issue and altough the fast fire 3 is an "open emitter" Reddot, I never had issues in those harsh environments.

Good value for money

Excellent combo offers good value. The RT6 is probably not best scope on the market but I really like the Ballistic AR reticle. And it all functions well. The mount returns as close to zero as doesn't matter within 300m.
