New Bushnell XRS 2 tactical rifle scope

Introduction

Bushnell is a manufacturer of all different kind of optics, which has its headquarters in the United States. This company is well-known for the big choice of optics they offer, for any situation you need one. On IWA Outdoor Classics 2018, Bushnell presented a new line of tactical rifle scopes, the Bushnell XRS 2.

Features

The Bushnell XRS 2 rifle scopes are currently available only in one magnification range – 4.5-30×50. They offer these rifle scopes in 3 different colors – matte black, FDE or even grey. These new rifle scopes from Bushnell feature ED Prime Glass for a more colorful and contrast-rich image, and all this is built in a relatively small housing of only 370 millimeters.

These rifle scopes feature the new RevLimiter zero stop for not accidentally dialing under the adjusted zero, and a locking T-Lok windage turret to make quick adjustments. The diopter is also lockable, and on the magnification ring is a throw lever for easier management. This throw lever is also removable.

Because this is a high magnification rifle scope, it features also a parallax adjustment turret which can be adjusted from 75 yards (68 meters) to infinity. The reticle is placed in the first focal plane, so it can be used for distance calculations, elevation and windage corrections and also holdover on any magnification. The entire elevation of this rifle scope is 34 MIL, what is really a lot for shooting on targets which are very distant. The rifle scope can be ordered with or without reticle illumination.

Conclusion

A very nice rifle scope for shooting long-range, which comes for a reasonable price. We can definitely say it is the new flagship series of Bushnell, especially because of the high glass quality.

  • Wow!! great review on this scope!! Do you happen to know when they came out with this new scope? I saw that this has ED glass. I have never heard of ED glass before. Is this new or was this a typo for HD?

    Thank you Holly

    • Hello Madam!
ED is an abbreviation for Extra-low Dispersion glass lenses. It reduces chromatic aberration and color fringing.
