Physical features of Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 i riflescope
The Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 i scope’s physical characteristics are stunning. Its extremely high quality, robust design, and readily usable components are all apparent.
The magnification ring is very smooth. The diopter adjustment ring and illumination control ring also run smoothly. The turrets are quite easy to use as well.

The Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 rifle scope has a length of 272 millimeters, which is excellent and quite practical. The scope is simple to operate. It weighs 544 grams. This isn’t much at all. Riflescope has a nice black finish.
Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 i scope is designed for the driven hunt. In both daytime and low-light situations, the scope will benefit you. Because of a 6.3 magnification range, which is quite significant, the scope will work well for short and long-range shooting.
Parallax adjustment
Magnus 1-6.3×24 i doesn’t have parallax adjustment but features a fixed parallax, which is set at 100 meters.
Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 i Reticle
We’ll move on to the reticles of Magnus 1-6.3x24i riflescope. The reticle is positioned in the second focal plane (SFP riflescope).
There are two reticles available for this rifle scope:
- L-3D reticle and
- L-4A reticle.

L-3D reticle have a central dot and circle illuminated, while L-4A only has central dot illuminated. The illumination dot is more finely usable and covers a greater surface area than the Magnus 1st generation rifle scopes, although the intensity of the dot is still strong.

Illumination System
The illumination system in the Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 riflescope is rather unique and advanced. It’s capable of working in bright light and low light situations. You have the option to change between daytime and low-light settings.
Turning the illumination knob on the left side sets the illumination to the daytime setting and turning the illumination knob on the right side sets the illumination to the low light setting. If we place the illumination knob on zero, the illumination is turned off.
Its brightness can be modified in 60 steps, which is fantastic. These settings are changed by clicking or tapping the left or right sides of the illumination knob. You decrease the lighting intensity level by pressing the minus sign. As previously stated, pressing the plus sign increases the brightness intensity level. Clicks of changing the illumination have a distinct feel to them.

The illumination has a position sensor, which means it automatically shuts off if you set the riflescope vertical or on the side. It’s quite economical since you can save a lot of battery power like that.
This riflescope’s illumination system is quite impressive. It can be utilized in even the brightest of daytime situations, as well as the darkest of night-time ones. Furthermore, this rather big illumination knob may also be operated with gloves on. So, there is no issue there at all.
The illumination knob on previous versions of Magnus rifle scopes had identical functions. You could turn it easily even by mistake. However, with this one, the operation of this knob is more firmly established, resulting in a more pleasant experience using it. There is also a lot less chances to move it unintentionally.
Replacing the battery
Changing, removing, or reinstalling the battery is a very simple process. To begin, you must remove the illumination knob. After that, simply insert the battery by sliding the distinctive notch over it and securing it in place.
This is one of the features that Leica improved with the Magnus i series. This is a very interesting design. The battery in previous Magnus versions simply flew away when you opened the knob. This new method for containing the battery is quite intelligent and elegant.

Turrets and clicks
Next, we’ll talk about turrets. Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 i riflescope has capped, hunting turrets with 1 centimeter on 100-meter clicks, with a multiple number of turns (MT). However, turrets have no turn indicator. Turrets have approximately 10 millimeters or 1/3 MOA on 100 meters clicks.

By pressing the turret down, you can simply reset the turret. This is another innovation in Magnus i riflescopes that were introduced with the second generation. This is a fantastic function. We realize that prior versions necessitated the use of the Hex key to unlock and reset the turrets. You had to remove the turrets to reset them, which was time-consuming. This is a really practical method to operate the turrets.
The turrets have no locking function and do not require one because they of hunting, capped type of turrets. As a result, there is no requirement for a locking mechanism.
The turrets are also quite well-audible, to say the least. Every click feels highly crisp and very precisely defined. In addition, they’re simple to manage and operate. There is no distinction between the turrets at all. The quality of the turrets is without a doubt outstanding.

Mounting of the Magnus i scope
You can mount Magnus 1-6.3×24 i riflescope with any 30-millimeter rings because the tube diameter is 30 millimeters. Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 i scope can also be ordered with a Zeiss ZM/VM rail which adds to the robustness of the riflescope.

Optical Performance of Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 i
Let’s talk about Leica Magnus 1-6.3×24 i riflescopes’ optical properties now. The magnification range of the riflescope is 1-6.3x. It has a great 6.3x zoom ratio. The objective lens diameter is 24 millimeters.
Riflescope also has a high light transmission of 91.1 percent, which is excellent. This is one of the best light transmission rifle scopes on the market right now.
This Leica riflescope is designed with an outstanding field of view, which is 6.5 meters on 100 meters at 6.3x magnification and 43.2 meters on 100 meters at 1x magnification. This is an amazing feature. And from our experience, one of the best there is.

Eye relief is also very encouraging with 90 millimeters, which means that you can use this riflescope on heavier caliber rifles unafraid of the recoil of the rifle.
There is no tunnel effect at any of the magnification ranges. This rifle scope’s optical quality is excellent and undeniable, right down to the last detail. This product also features one of the best eye boxes in the world in the field of sports optics. Both eyes open use is easy and intuitive.
Riflescope is also shockproof, fog proof, and waterproof. It’s also submersible to a depth of 4 meters. Leica uses aqua-dura lens coating, which means the lenses will not fog even in extremely cold climates.
