Switch on:
- lift the flap and fold it back
- device starts automatically

Switch off:
- close flap
- device switches off automatically

Operation
Insert/change of battery
- Open the battery compartment by turning the lock to the left.
- Insert four CR123 batteries or two rechargeable Li-ion-batteries (type 16650) according to the polarity indicated on the battery compartment.
- Lock the battery compartment again.
Notes:
- Use only externally intact CR123 batteries or 16650 accumulator.
- The battery compartment is sealed to the inside of the device. This means that you can change the batteries even in the rain. Water entering the battery compartment cannot damage the internal electronics. On occasion, however, it should be dried with a cloth. After that, it should be left open for a few hours so that the remaining moisture can evaporate.
- If you insert the batteries accidentally with reverse polarity, nothing can happen. The TigIR™ is protected against this both mechanically and electronically.
- Advice: If the device is not used for a long time, the batteries should be removed, otherwise they will discharge within weeks.
