Sightron SIII 8-32x56 LR

• 8-32x magnification range: Covers precise load development, F-class work and long-range target shooting from mid distance out to extended ranges, while the top end helps refine aiming on small targets.
• 56 mm objective lens: The large front lens supports a bright, easy-to-read sight picture at higher magnifications, which helps when mirage, fading light or dark targets make aiming more demanding.
• ExacTrack adjustment system: Sightron’s windage and elevation design keeps consistent contact with the erector system, helping the scope track accurately through repeated corrections and return-to-zero cycles.
• Side-focus parallax adjustment: Adjustable parallax from 36.6 m - Infinity lets the shooter sharpen the image and reduce aiming error at varying distances without breaking position.
• 30 mm one-piece tube: The single-piece aluminum tube, nitrogen filling and waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction give the scope the durability expected for regular range use and hard-traveling rifles.

About the Sightron SIII Series

The Sightron SIII series sits in the brand’s upper tier of target and long-range riflescopes, with models aimed at competition, field-target and long-range shooting. Across the line, the emphasis is on repeatable mechanical adjustment, practical reticle choices and optical performance that stays usable at higher magnification, which is why the series appears in categories ranging from Competition to Precision Long Range.

A defining feature of the family is Sightron’s ExacTrack windage and elevation system, developed to keep adjustment pressure consistent through the travel range. SIII models also use Zact-7 Revcoat lens multicoating, a core part of the series’ optical identity, helping with light transmission, contrast and glare control. Depending on the model, the SIII range is offered with first- or second-focal-plane reticles, and reticle options include target, fine-crosshair, MOA and mil-hash patterns. That variety makes the series relevant to shooters who want anything from a minimal aiming point for paper targets to a more referential reticle for holdovers and corrections.

Mechanically, the SIII line is built around robust tube construction and adjustment systems intended for repeated dialing. In practical use, the series is known for combining target-oriented magnification ranges with the control and reticle options needed for disciplined long-range work.

About the Sightron SIII 8-32x56 LR

The Sightron SIII 8-32x56 LR is built for shooters who want a classic high-magnification long-range target riflescope with enough adjustment range and image detail for paper, steel and field targets at extended distance. Its 8-32x magnification gives it a broad working envelope: the lower end is manageable for target acquisition and spotting trace or splash, while the upper end is useful when the priority is precise shot placement on small aiming points. The 56 mm objective lens helps preserve image brightness as magnification rises, which matters when high power would otherwise make the sight picture less forgiving.

This model uses a second focal plane layout, so the reticle keeps the same apparent size throughout the zoom range. In practice, that gives the shooter a consistently fine aiming point at high magnification, which suits deliberate benchrest, F-class and other precision disciplines. The scope also features side-focus parallax adjustment from 36.6 m - Infinity, allowing the image and target plane to be tuned for distance so the shooter can reduce parallax error without changing shooting position.

For dialing corrections, the SIII 8-32x56 LR combines tactical-style multi-turn turrets with generous 20.36 mrad / 71.00 MOA elevation and windage travel. That gives the scope enough adjustment latitude for extended-range setups while keeping corrections repeatable over frequent use. The 30 mm tube, fully multicoated optics, fast-focus eyepiece, nitrogen filling and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction round out a design that is focused on stable tracking, clear aiming and dependable range performance.

About Sightron

Sightron was originally based in Miami, Florida, and later moved its headquarters to North Carolina. The company began with red-dot sights before expanding into hunting and target riflescopes, and it also produces binoculars and spotting scopes. That background helps explain why Sightron’s catalog covers both field use and more specialized precision disciplines.

Within riflescopes, Sightron is especially known for series such as SII, SIIB Big Sky, SIII, S-TAC and SV. Two technologies closely associated with the brand are ExacTrack, used for windage and elevation adjustment in several riflescope lines, and Zact-7 Revcoat, its multicoating system for optical lenses. Sightron riflescopes are manufactured in Japan, a detail that is often relevant to shooters looking for consistent optical and mechanical quality in target and long-range optics.
