Konus Konuspro-550 3-9x40

• 3-9x magnification range: Covers the classic stalking and general hunting window, giving a wider view at 3x for faster target acquisition and enough reach at 9x for more precise shot placement at longer distances.
• 40 mm objective lens: Balances light intake with a compact overall profile, helping the scope stay practical on lighter hunting and rimfire rifles without becoming bulky above the receiver.
• Illuminated SFP reticle: The red illuminated reticle remains easy to pick up against dark backgrounds or in low-contrast light, while the second focal plane layout keeps the reticle appearance consistent through the zoom range.
• Capped 1/4 MOA turrets: The capped design protects the adjustments from accidental movement in the field, making it well suited to hunters who zero once and want dependable holdover use afterward.
• Nitrogen-filled weather-resistant construction: Waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction helps the scope stay usable through rain, temperature changes and recoil, reducing the risk of internal fogging during real field use.

About the Konuspro 550 Series

The Konuspro 550 Series sits in Konus’s hunting-oriented riflescope range as a practical line for shooters who want familiar magnification ranges, straightforward controls and dependable field durability. These scopes are aimed at general hunting use, including stalking, woodland shooting and use on lighter centerfire or rimfire rifles where moderate size and weight matter. The series focuses on proven essentials rather than specialized long-range competition features, which makes it a natural fit for hunters who value simple operation.

Across the line, the defining traits are a traditional variable-power format, a 1-inch tube class design and reticle systems intended for fast visibility under changing light. The Konuspro 550 concept emphasizes practical optical performance with multicoated lenses, useful low-light behavior for dawn and dusk hunting, and a compact mechanical layout that does not overwhelm a field rifle. In use, the series is built around easy mounting, familiar eye position and protected adjustments, giving hunters a scope family that stays intuitive whether it is fitted to a stalking rifle, a rimfire trainer or a general-purpose hunting setup.

About the Konus Konuspro-550 3-9x40

The Konus Konuspro-550 3-9x40 is built around one of the most versatile magnification ranges in hunting optics. Its 3-9x zoom range makes it equally at home on a stalking rifle, a rimfire used for small game, or a general-purpose hunting setup where distances can change quickly. At 3x, the scope offers a broader field of view for faster target pickup in tighter terrain. At 9x, it gives the extra image scale needed for more careful shot placement when the target is smaller or farther away.

The 40.00 mm objective lens keeps the scope trim and easy to mount while still providing enough brightness for normal daylight use and the lower-light periods when game is often active. Its multicoated optics support contrast and image clarity, helping the sight picture stay usable against darker backgrounds. The 76.00 mm eye relief gives a consistent head position and helps maintain comfort on rifles with noticeable recoil.

This model uses an illuminated red reticle in the second focal plane. In practice, that means the reticle keeps the same apparent size as magnification changes, which many hunters prefer because the aiming point remains visually familiar throughout the zoom range. The capped turrets adjust in 1/4 MOA clicks, a sensible setup for zeroing and then leaving protected during field carry. With a fixed 100 m parallax setting, a 25.4 mm tube and a weight of 399.00 g, this riflescope stays simple, compact and well matched to everyday hunting rifles.

About Konus

Konus was founded in 1979 in Verona, Italy, and the company has long focused on optics for field use. Its range includes riflescopes and outdoor optics, with particular relevance for hunting and target shooting applications. Within its riflescope catalog, Konus has developed established lines such as the Konuspro M-30 and T-30, showing a sustained emphasis on sporting and shooting optics rather than a broad, unrelated product mix.

A notable part of the brand’s development has been its work on laser-etched reticles, along with riflescope designs that use engraved reticles and illuminated aiming systems. That background is relevant to products such as the Konuspro series, where practical reticle visibility and dependable mechanical construction matter more than unnecessary complexity. Konus also specializes in optics for hunting and target shooting, which helps explain the straightforward, field-oriented design approach seen across its riflescopes.
