Primary Arms CLx 24mm Mini Reflex Sight Gen 2

• Large 24mm window: The generous viewing area helps pick up the dot faster during the draw and makes tracking it through recoil easier on full-size pistols and competition handguns.
• AutoLive motion-sensing illumination: The sight powers down when left still and wakes with movement, reducing unnecessary battery drain while keeping the optic ready when the pistol is handled.
• 3 MOA red dot: This dot size stays precise enough for careful shot placement while remaining quick to acquire at defensive and practical-shooting distances.
• RMR/507C footprint compatibility: The shared mounting pattern broadens slide and adapter compatibility, making it easier to fit the sight to common pistol optics cuts and plates.
• Compact aluminum housing: At just 31.00 g and 46.00 mm long, the sight adds minimal bulk while still providing the durability needed for regular handgun use.

About the Primary Arms Classic Series CLX Series

Primary Arms Classic Series CLX sits as the brand’s budget-focused entry tier, aimed at shooters who want dependable optics without moving into the more specialized GLx or PLx ranges. Introduced in the company’s 2019 catalog, the CLx family was built for budget-conscious marksmen and new shooters, covering practical red-dot and prism options for common sporting and defensive roles.

Within the red-dot lineup, the series includes the 24mm MRS Gen 2, the 21mm MRSc Gen 2, and the RD-23, with the MRS and MRSc Gen 2 variants offered in red or green illumination. A key characteristic of these pistol optics is AutoLive motion-sensing illumination, which helps extend battery life by shutting the optic down at rest and reactivating it with movement. The CLx approach is straightforward: practical window sizes, simple dot reticles, familiar mounting footprints, and compact housings that suit everyday carry, range use, and entry-level competition. In use, the series emphasizes fast sight acquisition, uncomplicated controls, and the kind of durability expected from modern handgun red dot sights.

About the Primary Arms CLx 24mm Mini Reflex Sight Gen 2

The Primary Arms CLx 24mm Mini Reflex Sight Gen 2 is configured for shooters who want a pistol-mounted red dot with a larger viewing window but without the extra bulk of a full-size optic. Its 24mm lens gives a more open sight picture than micro-format alternatives, which helps the eye find the dot quickly during presentation and makes follow-up shots easier when the slide is cycling under recoil. That makes this model especially well suited to full-size pistols, range work, and practical competition use.

The sight uses a 3.00 MOA dot, a balanced choice for handgun shooting because it remains easy to see at speed while still allowing deliberate aiming on smaller targets. Daytime-usable illumination keeps the dot visible in bright outdoor light, and the illuminated reticle is supported by Auto Turn-Off and a long stated battery life of 50000.00 h. In practice, that means less frequent battery changes and less concern about leaving the sight on between sessions.

Mechanically, this reflex sight stays compact at 46.00 mm and light at 31.00 g, so it preserves slide handling and keeps added reciprocating mass low. The aluminium housing, fully multicoated lens, and parallax-free setting support clear aiming and consistent use from imperfect shooting positions. With its Holosun 507C footprint and Trijicon RMR mounting standard, it also fits a wide range of optics-ready handgun setups and adapter plates.

About Primary Arms

Primary Arms Optics was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. The company focuses on shooting optics and related equipment, with a catalog that includes rifle scopes, prism scopes, red dot sights, mounts, and accessories. Its optics lineup is organized into the PLx, GLx, SLx, and CLx families, giving shooters distinct tiers for different budgets and applications.

One of the company’s best-known in-house developments is the ACSS reticle system, which helped establish Primary Arms as a manufacturer with its own design language rather than a simple rebranding operation. The brand also uses technologies such as AutoLive motion-sensing illumination in relevant optics. Alongside product design and manufacturing, Primary Arms also operates e-commerce, wholesale distribution, and government sales divisions, reflecting a broad presence in the shooting and tactical optics market.
