DD Optics Nachtfalke III 1-6x24

• 1-6x magnification range: true 1x keeps the sight picture fast and intuitive at short distance, while 6x adds enough reach for more deliberate shots across open ground.
• Wide field of view: up to 37.80 m/100m helps track moving game and maintain awareness during driven hunts, where fast target acquisition matters as much as precision.
• Illuminated SFP reticle: the red illuminated reticle supports quick aiming in dim woodland or against dark backgrounds, while the second focal plane layout keeps the reticle appearance consistent through the zoom range.
• Compact 30 mm tube design: the 261.00 mm length and 535.00 g weight keep the rifle balanced and easy to handle, especially on lightweight hunting rifles carried over long distances.
• Fully multicoated, nitrogen-filled construction: the coated optics improve contrast and light transmission, while waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction helps the scope stay dependable in wet, cold and rough field conditions.

About the DD Optics Nachtfalke III Series

DD Optics Nachtfalke III belongs to the manufacturer’s Generation III riflescope family, a line developed for hunting and sport shooting with a clear focus on practical field use. Announced in 2014, the Generation III concept introduced improved optical coatings and a revised reticle design with a finer central crosshair and shorter outer posts, giving the image a cleaner aiming point without losing speed at close range.

Within the DD Optics lineup, the Nachtfalke III series is aimed at hunters who need a versatile sight for changing distances and light conditions rather than a highly specialized long-range optic. The series is associated with hunting applications such as low-light hunting, stalking and driven hunts, so the design priorities are broad usability, dependable mechanics and a sight picture that remains easy to read under pressure. Compared with heavier high-magnification models, Nachtfalke III scopes emphasize a balanced combination of field of view, manageable size and straightforward operation, making them well suited to general hunting rifles and mixed terrain.

About the DD Optics Nachtfalke III 1-6x24

The DD Optics Nachtfalke III 1-6x24 is configured as a compact driven-hunt and short-to-medium-range hunting riflescope. Its 1.00-6.00x magnification gives it two distinct strengths: at 1x, the scope remains fast for snap shots and moving targets, while 6x provides enough image scale for more careful shot placement when the distance opens up. The generous 37.80 m/100m maximum field of view supports quick target pickup in dense cover and helps the shooter stay aware of movement around the target.

This model uses a second focal plane reticle with red illumination. In practice, that means the reticle keeps the same apparent size throughout the zoom range, which many hunters prefer because the aiming picture stays familiar whether the scope is set low for speed or higher for precision. The illumination adds contrast in poor light or against dark game, while the fixed 100 m parallax setting keeps operation simple and uncluttered for the distances where a 1-6x24 scope is most often used.

Mechanically, the scope is built around a 30 mm tube with capped turrets, a sensible layout for a hunting optic that is carried through brush and used in changing weather. The 0.10 MIL click value allows precise zeroing, while the capped design protects settings from accidental movement in the field. With 99.00-100.00 mm eye relief, a fast-focus eyepiece, nitrogen filling and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction, the Nachtfalke III 1-6x24 is designed to stay easy to mount, quick to adjust and reliable on hard-used hunting rifles.

About DD Optics

DD Optics is a German family-owned optics company founded in 2007 in Dresden. The company later moved its headquarters to Chemnitz in 2012 and focuses on sporting and observation optics for hunting, nature observation, birdwatching and general outdoor use. Its product range includes binoculars, spotting scopes, rifle scopes and night-vision devices, showing a broad specialization in field optics rather than a single product niche.

A notable part of the company’s identity is that its binoculars and rifle scopes are mainly developed in Germany and mainly produced in Japan. Across the range, DD Optics uses proprietary optical terminology such as DDlucid coatings, and in other product families it highlights features such as ED glass and Schmidt-Pechan prisms. In the riflescope category, the brand is known for combining practical hunting-oriented configurations with solid mechanical design and clear, functional reticle layouts.
