Kahles Helia 1-5x24i

• True 1x magnification: At the low end, the scope supports natural two-eyes-open shooting, which helps maintain awareness and makes fast target acquisition easier in driven hunts and close woodland shooting.
• 42.40 m/100m field of view: The very wide view at 1x gives a clearer picture of moving game and surrounding terrain, reducing the tunnel effect that can slow reactions at short range.
• Daytime-bright illuminated reticle: The illuminated SFP reticle remains easy to pick up against dark game or shaded backgrounds, while automatic shut-off helps preserve battery life when the rifle is not in use.
• Compact 278.00 mm build: The short overall length and 475.00 g weight keep the rifle lively and well balanced, which matters on fast-handling hunting rifles carried over long periods.
• Capped turrets with SR rail: The capped adjustment system protects zero from accidental movement in the field, while the Swarovski SR mounting rail offers a secure, repeatable mounting interface.

About the Kahles Helia Series

The Kahles Helia series was introduced in 2017 as KAHLES’s replacement for its 30 mm hunting riflescope range. The line is built around practical hunting use rather than target-style complexity, with models covering driven hunts, stalking, and hide or stand hunting. That makes HELIA a core hunting family within the KAHLES lineup, distinct from the brand’s more competition-focused K-series optics.

Across the range, HELIA riflescopes emphasize straightforward handling, dependable mechanics, and optical features that matter in the field. The series uses second-focal-plane illuminated reticles, paired with automatic illumination shut-off and OILPHOBIC lens coatings on the 2017 HELIA models. KAHLES also offered the series with options such as an SR mounting rail and ballistic drop compensation, allowing hunters to tailor the scope to their rifle and style of shooting. In practical terms, HELIA scopes are designed to stay uncluttered, bright, and fast to use under real hunting conditions, whether the priority is speed at short range or confident shot placement in lower light.

About the Kahles Helia 1-5x24i

The Kahles Helia 1-5x24i is the driven-hunt model in the HELIA family, built for situations where speed matters more than extreme magnification. Its 1.00-5.00 x magnification range starts with a true 1x setting for instinctive, both-eyes-open shooting at close range, then extends to 5x for more deliberate shots across rides, field edges, or broken terrain. Combined with a 42.40-8.10 m/100m field of view, it gives the shooter a broad sight picture at low power without giving up useful reach at the top end.

The optical layout is supported by fully multicoated lenses and a 24.00 mm objective, delivering a bright, clear image in the compact format expected from a hunting riflescope of this type. The second focal plane illuminated reticle keeps the reticle appearance consistent as magnification changes, which many hunters prefer for fast visual pickup. Because the illumination is usable at daytime and includes automatic turn off, the aiming point remains visible in changing light while avoiding unnecessary battery drain.

Mechanically, this model favors reliability and field practicality. The capped turrets protect against accidental adjustment while moving through brush or carrying the rifle in a vehicle or on a sling. A fixed 100 m parallax setting keeps operation simple, and the 95.00 mm eye relief helps maintain a forgiving shooting position on lightweight hunting rifles. With its 30 mm tube, Swarovski SR rail, 278.00 mm length, and 475.00 g weight, the Helia 1-5x24i is configured as a compact hunting riflescope that keeps handling quick and uncluttered.

About Kahles

KAHLES was founded in 1898 by Karl Robert Kahles in Vienna, Austria. From the beginning, the company focused on sporting optics, and it remains an Austrian optics company headquartered in Guntramsdorf. KAHLES develops and manufactures riflescopes and binoculars, with the HELIA line aimed at hunting use and the K line centered on sport shooting.

The company has a long history of optical development relevant to riflescopes. Around 1900, Karl Robert Kahles introduced achromatic lenses to improve color rendering and field of view. In 1972, KAHLES introduced achromatic multilayer coating that enabled more than 90% light transmission through the riflescope. The company later became a subsidiary of SWAROVSKI-OPTIK AG & Co KG, reinforcing its position in premium sporting optics while maintaining its own product identity and Austrian manufacturing tradition.
