Blaser Infinity 2.8-20x50 Product description

  • Wide 2.8-20x magnification range: covers close woodland stalking, general-purpose hunting and deliberate long-range shot placement without changing optics, making it a practical choice for hunters who move between very different terrain.
  • First focal plane illuminated reticle: the reticle scales with magnification, so holdover and ranging references stay consistent throughout the zoom range, while the red illumination remains easy to pick up in poor light.
  • Compact 343 mm construction: combines 20x top-end magnification with a relatively short body, helping keep the rifle balanced and easier to carry on mountain hunts or long days in the field.
  • BDC turret with Zero Stop: supports repeatable elevation correction for longer shots and returns positively to the original zero, which is useful when switching back from distance work to normal hunting distances.
  • 34 mm tube with Zeiss ZM/VM rail: provides a stable mounting interface and generous adjustment travel, giving the scope the mechanical range needed for varied hunting setups and longer shooting distances.

About the Blaser Infinity Series

The Blaser Infinity series was introduced in 2018 as part of Blaser’s premium hunting optics offering, built around the idea of giving hunters one riflescope family for very different styles of use. The line originally comprised the 1-7x28 iC, 2.8-20x50 iC and 4-20x58 iC models, covering fast shooting on moving game, versatile all-round hunting and low-light hide hunting. Across the series, Blaser positioned these scopes at the top end of its optics range for hunters who want a refined mechanical layout and a design that integrates neatly with a hunting rifle.

A defining feature of the series is its use of first focal plane reticles, combined with Blaser’s phase grating technology to keep reticle bars fine enough for precise aiming at higher magnification. That matters in practice because the shooter retains valid reticle subtensions across the zoom range without ending up with an overly heavy sight picture at distance. The series is also shaped by a hunting-first design philosophy: intuitive controls, compact proportions for the magnification class, and optical configurations tailored to stalking, mountain hunting, driven game or waiting in a hide rather than purely target use.

About the Blaser Infinity 2.8-20x50

The Blaser Infinity 2.8-20x50 is the most versatile model in the series, intended for mountain hunting, stalking and hunting from a hide. Its 2.8-20x magnification range gives it a notably broad working envelope: the lower end is still practical for closer encounters and quick target acquisition, while the 20x upper end helps with precise shot placement and more confident game identification at longer distances. Paired with a 50 mm objective lens and 90% light transmission, it balances reach and brightness without the extra bulk of a larger objective.

The scope uses a first focal plane illuminated reticle, which keeps reticle values consistent at every magnification. In the field, that means holdover references remain usable whether the hunter is zoomed in for a distant shot or backed off for a broader view. The daytime-usable red illumination improves reticle visibility against dark game or shaded backgrounds without turning the sight picture into a distraction.

Mechanically, this model is set up for deliberate distance work as well as general hunting. Its BDC turret with Zero Stop and 0.10 MIL clicks allows precise elevation correction and a dependable return to the original zero. The side-focus parallax adjustment from 50 m to infinity helps keep the target image sharp and reduces aiming error as distances increase. A 34 mm tube, generous internal adjustment range, fully multicoated lenses and a waterproof, fogproof, shockproof build complete a riflescope that suits hunters who need one optic to cover varied terrain and shooting distances.

About Blaser

Blaser was founded by Horst Blaser in Isny, Germany, in 1957. Today, the brand forms part of the Blaser Group, which is headquartered in Isny im Allgäu, Germany. Blaser is best known for hunting firearms and related equipment, with a product range that includes hunting rifles, combination guns, shotguns and hunting accessories, alongside a dedicated sport-optics line of riflescopes and binoculars.

Within the hunting market, Blaser has built its reputation around practical field design and strong integration between rifle and optic. One of its best-known solutions is the Original Blaser Saddle Mount, developed for quick, tool-free removal and replacement of a riflescope while maintaining a hunting-focused system approach. In 2000, Michael Lüke and Thomas Ortmeier acquired Blaser together with the MAUSER and J.P. SAUER & SOHN brands, helping shape the broader group structure behind the company today.
