Riton X5 Tactix 1-6x24

• 1-6x LPVO range: The 1.00 x to 6.00 x magnification span gives this riflescope the flexibility to work from close, fast target acquisition up to more deliberate mid-range shooting without changing optics.
• First focal plane illuminated reticle: With the reticle placed in the 1. focal plane - FFP and supported by red illumination, holdovers stay proportional through the zoom range while the bright center remains easier to pick up in changing light.
• Daytime-usable illumination: The illuminated reticle is designed to remain visible in bright conditions, which helps the scope behave more like a fast tactical optic at low magnification instead of disappearing against sunlit backgrounds.
• Compact 30 mm build: A 30 mm tube, 260.00 mm overall length, and 629.00 g weight keep the scope short enough for practical carbine setups while still providing the adjustment range expected from a tactical LPVO.
• Field-ready construction: Nitrogen filling, waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction help the optic stay reliable when rifles move between weather, temperature changes, and repeated recoil.

About the Riton X5 Series

Riton X5 belongs to the application-based optics family that Riton introduced on January 16, 2020, using numbered tiers that included the 5 series. Within that family, the X5 line covered several distinct uses rather than a single style of shooting, with models built for hunting, precision, and tactical shooting applications. That broad role is what made the series easy to place in the lineup: it sat as a more purpose-driven range where the user could choose a scope around the job rather than around magnification alone.

In practice, the X5 family was divided into the Primal, Tactix, and Conquer branches. Primal models were aimed at hunting, Tactix models at short-range and tactical use, and Conquer models at long-range precision shooting and competition. Across the series, the design philosophy focused on matching reticle style, turret layout, and magnification range to the intended role, so the handling of each scope made sense for its discipline. The X5 riflescopes are also categorized by Riton as discontinued in its product-manual listings, which places them as part of an earlier generation in the brand’s riflescope development.

About the Riton X5 Tactix 1-6x24

The Riton X5 Tactix 1-6x24 is a low-power variable optic built for rifles that need to move quickly between close targets and intermediate distances. At 1.00 x, the scope supports fast, both-eyes-open shooting in the way many shooters expect from a tactical LPVO, while 6.00 x gives enough magnification for more precise shot placement when the target is smaller or farther out. The 24.00 mm objective keeps the front end trim and practical on carbines, and the wide field of view of up to 37.10 m/100m helps the shooter track movement and transitions more naturally at the low end.

A major part of this model’s character is its FFP illuminated reticle. Because the reticle sits in the first focal plane, its subtensions remain true throughout the zoom range, which is useful when holdovers or ranging references need to stay consistent instead of being tied to one magnification setting. The daytime-usable red illumination improves reticle visibility in bright outdoor conditions, making the center easier to acquire against complex backgrounds. This combination suits practical rifle use where speed matters at 1x but the reticle still needs to provide meaningful reference marks as magnification increases.

The mechanical layout also reflects that role. Capped turrets protect the adjustments from accidental movement during transport or field use, which is often preferable on a carbine or general-purpose rifle that relies more on reticle use than constant dialing. The scope offers 48.00 mrad of elevation and windage adjustment, a fixed parallax at 91 m, and a fast focus eyepiece for quick reticle sharpening to the shooter’s eye. With a 30 mm tube, fully multicoated lenses, and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction, it is configured as a practical tactical riflescope rather than a bench-only optic.

About Riton

Riton Optics was founded in 2013, with its initial consumer sales beginning in 2016. The company is based in Tucson, Arizona, United States, and focuses on sporting optics for shooters and hunters. Its product range includes riflescopes, red-dot sights, and binoculars, with named lines such as Primal, Tactix, and Conquer that separate hunting, tactical, and precision-oriented products.

Within this category, Riton is known for building optics around specific shooting applications rather than treating every scope as a general-purpose model. The brand identifies Tactix as its tactical-focused line, which is directly relevant to this riflescope. Across its optics range, Riton also uses fully multi-coated lenses with anti-reflective coatings, and in some models it incorporates high-density and extra-low-dispersion glass. That emphasis on application-specific design and practical optical features has shaped the company’s place in modern sporting optics.
