Riton X3 Tactix 1-8x24

• 1-8x LPVO range: The 1x low end supports fast, both-eyes-open shooting at close distance, while 8x magnification gives the reach needed for smaller targets and more deliberate shots farther out.
• Second focal plane illuminated reticle: The red illuminated SFP reticle stays easy to see at low power and remains visually uncluttered, which helps when moving quickly between close and mid-range engagements.
• Capped 1/2 MOA turrets: Capped adjustment turrets protect the zero from accidental movement during transport or field use, making the scope well suited to practical rifles that must stay ready without constant checking.
• 30 mm one-piece tube: The 30 mm tube provides a solid mounting platform and generous adjustment travel, while the compact 24 mm objective keeps the optic trim enough for modern sporting rifles and similar carbines.
• Weather-sealed construction: Nitrogen filling, waterproof and fogproof construction, and shockproof build quality help the scope stay usable through temperature changes, wet weather, and repeated recoil.

About the Riton X3 Series

Riton X3 sits in the brand’s accessible mid-range of sporting optics, offering practical features for shooters who want a capable sighting system without moving into Riton’s more specialized upper tiers. Within this family, the series has included both hunting-oriented and tactical models, with the Tactix branch aimed at short-range shooting and tactical applications. That makes the X3 line broad in purpose, but consistent in design: straightforward controls, useful reticle options, and durable construction intended for regular field use.

In the tactical part of the series, low-power variable optics and red-dot sights give shooters flexible choices for carbines and general-purpose rifles. The design emphasis is on adaptability rather than complexity, so these optics are built to transition cleanly between fast target acquisition and more precise aiming as distance increases. Across the line, fully multi-coated lenses support contrast and light transmission, while the mechanical layout favors dependable adjustment and practical handling. In that sense, the X3 series is positioned as a working optic family: versatile enough for range use, training, and field carry, with configurations that suit both hunting optics and tactical optics roles.

About the Riton X3 Tactix 1-8x24

The Riton X3 Tactix 1-8x24 is a low-power variable riflescope built for shooters who need one optic to cover close work and intermediate distances on the same rifle. At 1x magnification, it handles much like a reflex-style sight for rapid target acquisition, making it a sensible fit for AR-platform rifles, defensive carbines, and practical shooting setups. Turning up to 8x adds enough precision for smaller targets, tighter shot placement, and more confident holds when the distance stretches beyond typical red-dot territory.

This model uses a second focal plane reticle with red illumination, a layout that keeps the reticle appearance consistent as magnification changes. In practice, that gives the shooter a familiar sight picture at every setting and helps the reticle remain easy to pick up at the low end. The fixed parallax setting keeps operation simple, while the fast-focus eyepiece makes it easier to sharpen the reticle quickly for the individual shooter.

Mechanically, the scope is configured for practical field use rather than exposed-dial adjustment. Capped turrets reduce the chance of accidental movement, and the 1/2 MOA click value suits straightforward zeroing on a general-purpose rifle. The 30 mm tube, fully multicoated lenses, and compact 24 mm objective balance durability, optical efficiency, and manageable size. At 547.00 g and 276.00 mm long, it remains compact enough for a carbine while still offering the magnification range expected from a versatile LPVO riflescope.

About Riton

Riton Optics was founded in 2013, with initial consumer sales beginning in 2016, and the company is based in Tucson, Arizona, United States. Its catalog covers riflescopes, red-dot sights, and binoculars, with named product families that include Primal, Tactix, and Conquer. That structure reflects a clear split between hunting-oriented optics and models intended for tactical or more specialized shooting roles.

Within this lineup, Riton identifies Tactix as a line focused on tactical use, which makes it directly relevant to LPVO riflescopes such as the X3 Tactix 1-8x24. Across its optics range, the company uses fully multi-coated lenses with anti-reflective coatings, and in some models it also employs high-density and extra-low-dispersion glass. Riton’s reputation in this category is built around offering practical feature sets, modern reticle-equipped optics, and configurations designed for real use on sporting and tactical rifles rather than purely bench-oriented applications.
