Maven RS2 2-10x38

• 2-10x magnification range: This zoom span covers close woodland shots and longer open-country opportunities with one hunting riflescope, reducing the need to compromise between speed at low power and shot placement at higher magnification.
• Light 351.00 g build: The low weight helps keep a stalking or mountain rifle balanced and easy to carry over long distances, which matters when every gram adds up on an all-day hunt.
• Second focal plane Duplex reticle: The simple non-illuminated reticle stays visually clean across the magnification range, giving a familiar sight picture that is quick to center on game in varied terrain.
• ED glass and fully multicoated optics: High-quality glass, 95 % light transmission, and full multi-coating work together to improve contrast and brightness, helping the image stay usable in the low-light periods when game is often most active.
• Capped turrets and waterproof, fogproof construction: The capped adjustment system protects zero from accidental movement, while nitrogen filling and sealed construction support reliable field use in rain, cold mornings, and changing temperatures.

About the Maven RS2 Series

The Maven RS2 series was introduced in 2019 as part of Maven’s RS riflescope line, a family positioned as the brand’s premium hunting and shooting optics. Within that lineup, the RS2 is the compact, all-purpose option: a scope built for hunters who want practical magnification, low carried weight, and dependable mechanics rather than the extra size and complexity of a dedicated long-range model. Maven developed the series around real hunting use, from small game and eastern whitetail to western big game and lightweight mountain-rifle setups.

Across the series, Maven pairs ED glass with precision-milled adjustments, durable anodized construction, and a waterproof, fog-proof design made in Japan. The optical concept focuses on a bright, high-contrast image and straightforward usability in the field, while the mechanical layout stays simple and robust. The RS2 family uses a second focal plane format and is offered with Duplex and SHR reticle options, giving hunters a choice between a classic uncluttered aiming point and a reticle with added holdover structure. The result is a riflescope series aimed at versatile hunting rifles where compact dimensions, clarity, and reliable zero matter more than tactical features.

About the Maven RS2 2-10x38

The Maven RS2 2-10x38 is built as a compact hunting riflescope for rifles that need to stay light, quick, and easy to carry. Its 2.00 x to 10.00 x magnification range makes it well suited to stalking, woodland hunting, and general big-game use: low power gives a wider view for fast target acquisition, while the upper end provides enough image scale for careful shot placement at longer distances. With a 38.00 mm objective lens and stated 95 % light transmission, the scope balances compact size with solid low-light performance for dawn and dusk hunting.

This model uses a second focal plane Duplex reticle, a practical choice for hunters who prefer a clean sight picture without extra visual clutter. Because the reticle is non-illuminated, the image remains simple and distraction-free, which suits traditional hunting use in daylight and legal low-light conditions. The fixed parallax setting at 137 m keeps operation straightforward, while the fast-focus eyepiece helps bring the reticle into sharp focus quickly when setting the scope up for the shooter.

Mechanically, the RS2 2-10x38 favors reliability and field practicality. Capped turrets help prevent accidental adjustment while moving through brush or carrying the rifle slung, and the 50.00 MOA elevation and windage range provides enough adjustment for normal zeroing and general hunting distances. At 316.00 mm long and 351.00 g, it fits well on trim bolt-action hunting rifles and mountain setups where excess bulk is unwelcome. Nitrogen filling, waterproof and fogproof construction, and shockproof build quality support dependable use across changing weather and rough terrain.

About Maven

Maven Outdoor Equipment Company was founded in 2013 in Lander, Wyoming. The company is a United States optics manufacturer focused on sporting optics, with a catalog that includes binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, rangefinders, and monoculars. Maven’s product families include the B, C, S, CS, RS, CRS, RF, and CRF series, covering both observation optics and aiming optics for hunting and field use.

Maven is particularly known for pairing direct sales with carefully specified optics. In its broader lineup, the company uses Japanese-produced components in several premium models, and its B and S Series optics are assembled in a military-standard facility in San Diego before inspection and testing in Lander. For riflescopes such as the RS series, Maven’s reputation centers on practical hunting-focused design, Japanese manufacture, and a preference for clear optical performance and dependable mechanics over unnecessary complexity.
