Braun Premium 7x50 WP

• 7x50 configuration: The combination of 7x magnification and a 50 mm objective gives this binocular a bright, steady image that works well at dawn, dusk, on the water, and during long observation sessions.
• Porro prism design: The Porro BAK-4 prism layout supports strong depth perception and a spacious view, which helps when scanning woodland edges, following birds in flight, or watching distant activity from a fixed position.
• Long eye relief: With 27.40 mm of eye relief, the Braun Premium 7x50 WP is comfortable for eyeglass wearers and easier to settle behind quickly without losing the full field of view.
• Waterproof, fogproof construction: Nitrogen filling together with a waterproof housing keeps the binocular ready for damp mornings, sudden weather changes, and marine use where internal fogging can ruin visibility.
• Central focusing with right-eye diopter: The central focusing system allows fast adjustment, while the right-eye diopter helps fine-tune the image to the user’s eyesight for a sharper, more relaxed view.

About the Braun Premium Series

The Braun Premium series sits in BRAUN’s high-grade full-sized binocular range and is built for users who want a more capable field optic for observation across varied outdoor settings. The series is intended for leisure and travel, events, outdoor use, bird and wildlife observation, hunting, and astronomy, which gives it a broad role within the brand’s binocular lineup.

Across the range, BRAUN combines ULTRALIT glass lenses, multilayer lens coatings, nitrogen filling, and waterproof construction to create binoculars that are designed for regular use in changing weather. The Premium family includes both roof-prism 8x42 and 10x42 models and Porro-prism 7x50 and 10x50 models, while the larger 8x56 and 10x56 WP-ED versions extend the series toward low-light observation. This mix gives the line a clear practical identity: some models favor compact handling, while others prioritize image brightness, viewing comfort, and a more traditional full-sized binocular format.

About the Braun Premium 7x50 WP

The Braun Premium 7x50 WP is a classic full-sized binocular built around a 7x50 format that favors image brightness, viewing ease, and a stable sight picture over high magnification. That makes it especially well suited to hunting from a stand, bird watching, coastal use, boating, and general low-light observation, where a calm image and wide, easy view are often more useful than extra power. Its 116.00 m/1000m field of view helps with scanning broad areas, while the generous 7.14 mm exit pupil supports relaxed viewing in dim conditions.

The optical system uses a Porro prism design with fully multicoated lenses, giving the binocular the kind of open, three-dimensional image Porro models are known for. The 27.40 mm eye relief is a major practical advantage for eyeglass wearers, and the central focusing system keeps operation simple when moving between near and distant subjects. A diopter range of -2 / +2 Dpt on the right eyepiece allows fine correction for differences between the user’s eyes.

Mechanically, this model is built for outdoor use with nitrogen filling, waterproof and fogproof construction, and a single-hinge body that remains straightforward to handle. The binocular also includes a tripod socket, which is useful for extended viewing from a hide, on a boat, or during sky observation where a steady support reduces fatigue.

About Braun

BRAUN traces its roots to 1915, when Karl Braun founded Karl Braun KG in Germany. The company initially produced optical instruments, metal goods and binoculars, showing that optics have been part of its history from the beginning. In 1948, the business became Carl Braun Camera-Werk Nürnberg, and in 2004 it adopted the name BRAUN Photo Technik GmbH.

Today, BRAUN Photo Technik is headquartered in Eutingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its product range includes binoculars and Ultralit spotting scopes, with the Ultralit series using ULTRALIT glass lenses. BRAUN binoculars returned to the company’s range in 2007, reinforcing its long-standing connection to practical observation optics for outdoor and general-use applications.
