UTG 2-7x44 Scout

• Extended eye relief scout layout: The long eye relief design allows forward mounting on scout rifles and other setups where the optic cannot sit directly over the action, keeping the loading area clear and preserving fast target access.
• 2-7x magnification range: Low power works well for quick shots at short to medium distance, while 7x gives enough image scale for more deliberate aiming and better target definition farther out.
• 44 mm objective with illuminated Mil-Dot reticle: The larger objective helps maintain a bright sight picture, and the etched illuminated reticle stays usable against dark backgrounds or in changing light.
• Zero-locking, resettable target turrets: Locking turrets help prevent accidental movement in the field, while reset capability makes it easier to return to a known zero after sight-in or ammunition changes.
• True Strength sealed construction: Nitrogen filling and a shockproof, waterproof, fogproof build support reliable use on hunting rifles, range rifles, and hard-used field setups in variable weather.

About the UTG Accushot Series

UTG Accushot sits in the brand’s core riflescope range, aimed at shooters who want practical features for hunting optics, recreational shooting, and general-purpose rifle use. The series includes several models across different magnification classes, from a 1-8x low-power scope up to higher-magnification variants, and it also includes a dedicated 2-7x scout configuration with extended eye relief. Across the line, the design emphasis is on durable construction, straightforward controls, and reticle visibility in changing conditions.

A defining feature of the series is the True Strength platform with coil erector return springs, a construction approach Leapers developed for use on both air rifles and firearms. Current Accushot models use a 30 mm main tube and a second-focal-plane reticle, combining familiar sight pictures with a robust mechanical layout. Illuminated reticles are a common thread in the range, with red, green, and multi-color modes used to adapt the aiming point to different backgrounds and light levels. In practice, the Accushot family is built around versatility: enough optical range for varied shooting distances, enough mechanical strength for regular field use, and enough reticle flexibility to suit both deliberate aiming and faster engagement.

About the UTG 2-7x44 Scout

The UTG 2-7x44 Scout is built for rifles that benefit from a forward-mounted optic and for shooters who want the handling advantages of a scout scope without giving up useful magnification. Its 2-7x range covers the practical middle ground well: 2x keeps the sight picture easy to acquire at closer distances, while 7x provides more precision for small targets or careful shot placement farther out. The scope’s long eye relief of 241.00 mm to 279.00 mm is the key to that role, allowing comfortable use on scout rifles and other platforms where receiver space or action access matters.

The optical system pairs a 44.00 mm objective lens with a field of view of 9.75 m/100m to 3.05 m/100m, balancing brightness with enough viewing width for tracking moving game or scanning a lane quickly. The etched Mil-Dot reticle is placed in the second focal plane, so its appearance remains consistent as magnification changes, and the red and green illumination helps the aiming point stand out against dark timber, shaded targets, or low-contrast backgrounds. For practical zeroing and hold refinement, the scope uses 1/4 MOA click adjustments with zero-locking and resettable target turrets, helping prevent unintended movement once the rifle is set up.

Mechanically, this scout riflescope is designed for field use. The 30 mm tube supports light transmission and adjustment travel, while the nitrogen-filled housing is waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof. Adjustable parallax from 9.14 m to inf adds flexibility across short and extended distances, and the included Picatinny/Weaver rings make it easier to mount the scope as intended on compatible rifle platforms.

About UTG

UTG is a brand of Leapers, Inc., a Michigan company founded in 1992 and headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, United States. Leapers develops optics and shooting accessories for hunting and shooting sports, including riflescopes, mounts, scope rings, and bipods. Its first product was a compact 4×28 scope, which reflects how closely the company’s history is tied to practical sporting optics.

Over time, Leapers expanded from entry-level accessories into broader optics development and manufacturing. It introduced the UTG PRO line of U.S.-made products in 2009, established an optics research and manufacturing center in Taiwan in 2018, and added the INTEGRIX premium optics brand in 2022. In the riflescope category, UTG is known for combining accessible feature sets with durable mechanical designs such as the True Strength platform used in the Accushot series.
