Braun Standard Porro 10x50

• 10x50 Porro optical system: The combination of 10x magnification and a 50.00 mm objective gives this binocular the reach for wildlife observation and general long-distance viewing while keeping a bright 5.00 mm exit pupil that remains comfortable in fading light.
• Porro prism design: The Porro BK7 layout delivers a naturally spacious image and strong depth perception, which helps when tracking moving subjects or judging distance in open terrain.
• Central focusing with diopter adjustment: A central focusing system speeds up target acquisition, while the -4 / +4 Dpt diopter adjustment helps fine-tune the view to the user’s eyesight for a sharper image without strain.
• Fully multicoated optics: Fully Multicoated lenses improve light transmission and reduce distracting reflections, giving the image better contrast and more useful detail in mixed light conditions.
• Field-ready classic housing: With a single-hinge body, fogproof construction and a tripod socket, this binocular balances traditional handling with practical support for longer observation sessions.

About the Braun Standard Porro Series

The Braun Standard Porro series sits in the brand’s Classic binocular range and focuses on straightforward, traditional binocular design for everyday observation. This family combines the familiar handling of Porro prism binoculars with practical features that suit leisure use, travel, wildlife watching and general outdoor viewing. Across the range, BRAUN uses ULTRALIT® glass lenses, central focusing and fold-out rubber eyecups, keeping the design simple to operate and easy to adapt to different users.

The series includes both fixed-magnification and zoom models, so it covers users who prefer a brighter, more stable image as well as those who want extra flexibility. A tripod socket is part of the listed series equipment, which is useful on higher-magnification models or during longer sessions behind the glass. The emphasis here is not on compactness or waterproof sealing, but on a classic binocular format that offers a broad stereoscopic image, intuitive focusing and solid day-to-day usability. For users who appreciate the traditional feel of Porro binoculars, the Braun Standard Porro line remains a practical entry point into general-purpose field optics.

About the Braun Standard Porro 10x50

The Braun Standard Porro 10x50 is built for users who want a versatile binocular for longer-distance observation without moving into oversized or specialist optics. Its 10x magnification gives enough reach for scanning open ground, watching wildlife or following activity at a distance, while the 50.00 mm objective lenses gather more light than smaller general-purpose binoculars. In practice, that makes this model especially useful in overcast conditions, woodland edges and the last part of the day, where image brightness matters more than compact size.

The Porro BK7 prism construction gives the image a sense of depth that many users still prefer for natural observation. Combined with fully multicoated optics, it helps the binocular deliver a clear, contrast-rich view for its class. The 99.00 m/1000m field of view is wide enough for general scanning, while the central focusing system keeps operation quick and uncomplicated when shifting between near and distant subjects. The centrally positioned diopter adjustment allows the image to be matched to the user’s eyesight, which is important for maintaining detail over longer sessions.

With an 820.00 g body, a single-hinge layout and fogproof construction, this binocular is aimed at practical outdoor use rather than minimal carry weight. The 11.80 mm eye relief and fold-out rubber eyecups support a straightforward viewing position, and the tripod socket adds stability when the binocular is used for prolonged observation.

About Braun

Braun traces its roots to 1915, when Karl Braun founded Karl Braun KG in Germany. The company originally made optical instruments, metal goods and binoculars, showing that optics have been part of its history from the beginning. In 1948, the business became Carl Braun Camera-Werk Nürnberg, and in 2004 it adopted the name BRAUN Photo Technik GmbH. Today the company is headquartered in Eutingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

BRAUN’s product range includes binoculars and Ultralit spotting scopes, with the Ultralit line using ULTRALIT glass lenses. Binoculars returned to the company’s range in 2007, reinforcing Braun’s place in accessible observation optics for travel, leisure and outdoor use. In this category, the brand is known for practical designs that favour clear operation, familiar optical layouts and broad usability over unnecessary complexity.
