Recknagel Two-Piece Weaver Base for Mauser K98

1. Precision Engineering: This two-piece Weaver base for the Mauser K98 is a testament to German engineering, crafted to provide a stable platform for your optic. While highly economical, the two-piece design, though offering good eye relief flexibility, requires meticulous installation to prevent scope stress.

2. Lightweight Durability: Made from robust black anodized aluminium, these bases offer an excellent balance of strength and minimal weight. They contribute very little to the overall rifle mass, making them ideal for hunters who value agility in the field.

3. Mauser K98 Specific Fit: Engineered exclusively for the legendary Mauser K98 rifle, these bases contour perfectly to the receiver. This ensures a snug and reliable attachment, though precise alignment in height, longitudinal, and horizontal axes is crucial.

4. Weaver Compatibility: Designed for seamless integration with Weaver-style rings, these bases allow you to mount a broad selection of rifle scopes. This adaptability provides users with ample choice, keeping in mind the need for careful ring alignment to protect your optic.

ABOUT THE RECKNAGEL TWO-PIECE WEAVER BASE FOR MAUSER K98

The Recknagel Two-Piece Weaver Base for Mauser K98 stands out as a cost-effective and lightweight solution for mounting optics on this classic rifle. Constructed from durable black anodized aluminium, these bases are designed to be resilient against the elements while adding minimal weight to your firearm. With a BH Height of 5 mm, they offer a low-profile mount, keeping the scope close to the bore axis. While two-piece bases like these are the most affordable method for attaching a scope, it is vital to understand that their installation demands extreme precision. To ensure optimal performance and prevent any potential damage to your valuable scope, the bases must be perfectly aligned across all three axes: height, longitudinal, and horizontal. Imprecise installation can lead to non-concentric rings, which will stress the scope tube, potentially affecting accuracy or causing irreparable damage. For this reason, professional installation by a skilled gunsmith is highly recommended, making them particularly appealing to budget-conscious hunters and recreational shooters who prioritize a professional setup.
