Meprolight Tru-Dot for Kriss Sphinx

• Self-Illuminated Tritium: The Meprolight Tru-Dot sight set stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready for defensive, duty, or carry use at any hour.
• Three-Dot Sight Picture: The 3-dot alignment gives a familiar reference that is quick to read under stress, helping the shooter pick up the front sight faster and confirm alignment more confidently.
• Steel Construction: A steel housing stands up better to daily holster wear, repeated slide cycling, and hard handling than softer materials, which matters on a working handgun.
• Fixed Sight Design: The fixed configuration keeps the setup simple and durable, with no adjustment screws to snag or shift, making it well suited to a pistol carried regularly.
• Square Rear Sight: The square rear notch supports a clean, conventional sight picture that helps balance speed and precision for practical handgun shooting.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s established family of self-illuminated handgun night sights, built for shooters who want a simple iron-sight system that works in both daylight and reduced light. The series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height variants, covering everything from standard carry pistols to more specialized handgun setups. Across the range, the core idea remains the same: a consistent three-dot sight picture that is easy to interpret quickly, whether on the range, on duty, or in defensive use.

The series is designed as a replacement for factory front and rear sights on compatible handguns, giving shooters a familiar layout with the added benefit of tritium illumination that does not rely on switches or batteries. Some versions are offered with different tritium dot color combinations, while adjustable models add windage and elevation correction for users who want a more tailored zero. Suppressor-height versions extend the concept to pistols set up around taller sight lines. As a family, Tru-Dot sights focus on durability, immediate visibility, and a straightforward aiming reference that keeps the handgun easy to use under changing light conditions.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Kriss Sphinx

Meprolight Tru-Dot for Kriss Sphinx is a dedicated handgun night sight set made for shooters who want a robust replacement for standard pistol sights without changing the handling of the handgun. Its defining feature is the self-illuminated tritium system, which keeps the aiming reference visible in low light while remaining just as usable in daylight. That matters on a defensive or duty pistol, where lighting conditions can change quickly and there is no time to manage electronics or brightness controls.

The sight picture uses a 3-dot alignment with a square rear sight, a combination that feels familiar to most pistol shooters and supports fast front-sight acquisition. In practical use, this layout helps the eye center the front sight naturally while still giving enough definition for deliberate shots. Because the sight is fixed, the setup favors reliability and resistance to hard use over user-adjustable complexity, which is often the right choice for a carry or service handgun.

The housing is made from steel, giving the sight set the strength needed for repeated slide movement, holster contact, and everyday handling. Finished in black, it keeps a low-profile appearance on the pistol while letting the illuminated dots do the visual work. Overall, this Kriss Sphinx version of the Tru-Dot series is aimed at shooters who want a durable, always-ready iron sight system that improves low-light usability without changing the basic manual of arms of the handgun.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian users. It is a division of SK Group.

Its product range covers sighting systems for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines, alongside magnified optics, reflex sights, magnifiers, night-vision systems, and thermal devices. That breadth is relevant here because Meprolight’s handgun sights come from a manufacturer with long experience in both conventional iron sights and more advanced electro-optical aiming systems. In practical terms, the brand is known for building durable aiming products intended for real field use rather than range-only applications.
