Meprolight Tru-Dot Ad-Com for Springfield XD sub compact

• Self-illuminated tritium system: the sights stay visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready for defensive or duty use at any hour.
• Three-dot sight picture: the green 3-dot alignment is easy to read under stress, helping the shooter pick up the front sight quickly and confirm alignment faster.
• Adjustable rear sight: windage and elevation adjustment lets the sight set be tuned to the pistol and ammunition, which is useful when a precise point of impact matters.
• Steel construction: the all-steel body gives the sight set the durability needed for daily carry, repeated slide cycling, and hard use on a working handgun.
• Direct replacement format: the Tru-Dot design is made as an upgrade to factory sights on compatible pistols, giving a familiar handling feel while adding day-and-night visibility.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s established family of self-illuminated handgun night sights, built for shooters who want a simple iron-sight solution that works in both daylight and darkness. The series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height sights, which places it across a wide range of defensive, service, and carry pistols rather than in a single niche role. Its defining feature is the familiar three-dot sight picture, designed to remain visually consistent as lighting changes.

At the core of the series is tritium illumination, which provides a visible aiming reference in low-light and nighttime conditions without batteries or switches. That matters on a handgun carried for protection, where the sight picture needs to be immediately available with no setup. Adjustable Tru-Dot variants add windage and elevation correction for shooters who want to fine-tune zero, while the broad model range covers handguns from multiple manufacturers. Across the series, the design philosophy is straightforward: durable replacement sights that preserve the speed and familiarity of conventional iron sights while improving visibility when ambient light is poor.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Ad-Com for Springfield XD sub compact

The Meprolight Tru-Dot Ad-Com for Springfield XD sub compact is an adjustable tritium night sight set built for shooters who want the low-light advantages of self-illuminated sights together with the ability to refine point of impact. On a compact defensive pistol, that combination is practical: the sight picture remains available in dim interiors, at dusk, or at night, while the adjustable rear sight allows correction for ammunition choice or individual shooting preference.

The sight set uses a green 3-dot alignment with a square rear sight, a layout that supports quick front-sight acquisition while still giving a clear reference for deliberate shots. The three-dot format is familiar to many handgun users, so transitions from factory-style sights tend to feel natural. Because the dots are self-illuminated, there is no dependence on batteries, brightness controls, or external light sources. That keeps operation simple and reduces one more variable under pressure.

Steel construction gives the unit the robustness expected from a carry or duty-oriented handgun sight, helping it withstand regular holster use and repeated recoil. The adjustable rear sight also makes this model more flexible than a fixed set, especially for shooters who want a compact Springfield XD setup that can be zeroed more precisely while retaining the constant readiness of tritium night sights.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian users. It is a division of SK Group.

The company’s product range covers conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, magnified optics, magnifiers, night-vision systems, and thermal devices. That breadth is relevant here because Meprolight’s handgun sights come from a manufacturer with long experience in practical sighting systems for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines. Its reputation is closely tied to durable duty-oriented designs and to self-illuminated sighting products intended to remain functional in changing light without adding unnecessary complexity.
