Kahles K328i 3.5-28x50 Refined Product description

  • VISIONFLEX Optical System with 40% Wider Field of View: The K328i REFINED is built around Kahles' proprietary VISIONFLEX optical design, which delivers an exceptional field of view of 14.3 metres at 100 metres at minimum magnification — approximately 40% wider than the K525i at 25× — combined with a generously sized eyebox that remains consistent across all magnification settings. This breadth of field is particularly valuable in competition scenarios where target transitions, stage awareness, and fast reacquisition are critical.
  • Unique 36mm Tube with 50mm Objective: The K328i REFINED combines a 36mm main tube with a 50mm objective lens — a configuration that is distinctive within the K Series and allows for a generous 35 MRAD of elevation travel and a compact overall length of 360 mm. The 50mm objective keeps the scope's weight and rail footprint lower than a 56mm design, while the 36mm tube provides the internal volume needed for the extensive adjustment range.
  • True 8× Zoom with 10 MIL Per Revolution Turrets: The 3.5–28× magnification range with a true 8× zoom ratio covers from a wide 3.5× starting point — suitable for close-range dynamic shooting — to a 28× upper end for precision engagement at extended distances, all within a single optic. The REFINED update introduces 10 MIL windage turrets, matching the elevation design with 100 clicks per revolution in 0.1 MRAD increments on both axes.
  • INDEXSTOP, Revolution Indicator and TwistGuard: The INDEXSTOP is set 2–3 clicks below the zero indicator after zeroing, enabling fast, repeatable return to zero under competition pressure. The Revolution Indicator displays the current turret revolution at a glance via a mechanical indicator pin, preventing errors when dialling multiple revolutions. The patented TwistGuard on the windage turret prevents accidental adjustment via a freely rotating protective cap, ready to use without any additional locking.
  • Three Reticle Options — SKMR4+, SKMR+, MSR2/Ki: All three reticles are illuminated first focal plane designs with subtensions accurate throughout the full magnification range. The SKMR4+ provides an extended MRAD grid for structured long-range reference. The SKMR+ delivers a cleaner layout suited to shooters who prefer reduced visual complexity. The MSR2/Ki offers a competition-proven design updated to the latest Kahles standard. All variants are available with the windage turret on either the left or right side of the turret housing.

About the K Series

The Kahles K Series is Kahles' flagship line of precision riflescopes, designed for demanding sport shooting, PRS competition, and long-range hunting applications. Built on first focal plane optics with consistent ergonomic design across all models, the K Series is engineered for shooters who require accurate reticle subtensions across the full magnification range, generous adjustment travel, and a reliable mechanical platform that holds up under repeated competition and field use.

All K Series models share Kahles' patented top-mounted parallax arrangement, CCW turret adjustment direction, and single-hand accessibility of all controls. Proprietary features including INDEXSTOP, Revolution Indicator, EASYREAD labelling, and TwistGuard are integrated across the lineup. The higher-specification models — K328i and K540i — additionally feature the VISIONFLEX optical system, which delivers an exceptionally wide field of view and generous eyebox across all magnification settings.

The 2026 REFINED update modernises the core K Series models with consistent improvements: 10 MIL per revolution windage turrets matching the elevation design, an enhanced parallax wheel geometry, updated reticle designs, and increased fields of view across individual models. The REFINED generation currently comprises four models: the K318i REFINED (3.5–18×50), K525i REFINED (5–25×56), K328i REFINED (3.5–28×50), and K540i REFINED (5–40×56).

About the Model (Kahles K328i 3.5-28x50)

The Kahles K328i REFINED occupies a distinctive position within the K Series, combining the low-end versatility of the K318i with significantly greater upper-end magnification, while using a compact 50mm objective lens rather than the larger 56mm lenses found on the K525i and K540i. The result is an all-round competition scope that covers close-range dynamic shooting and extreme long-range precision in a package that remains compact enough for extended use without fatigue. The 3.5–28× magnification range delivers a true 8× zoom ratio, and the VISIONFLEX optical system provides a field of view of 14.3 metres at 100 metres at minimum magnification — making stage transitions and target identification at close range substantially faster than a conventional optical design in this magnification class would allow.

The combination of a 36mm main tube and 50mm objective is unique within the K Series. The 36mm tube provides the internal volume needed for 35 MRAD of total elevation travel — a generous mechanical range for demanding long-range trajectories — while the 50mm objective keeps the overall weight at 1050 g and the length at 360 mm, which is notably compact for a 3.5–28× scope with a 36mm chassis. An exit pupil of 7.5 mm at 3.5× and eye relief of 92 mm support comfortable use across a range of shooting positions.

Three illuminated first focal plane reticle variants are available. The SKMR4+ (art. no. 10900/10901) provides an extended MRAD holdover grid for shooters who require precise structured reference points. The SKMR+ (art. no. 10902/10903) delivers a cleaner, less cluttered layout suited to competition shooters operating at higher magnification. The MSR2/Ki (art. no. 10904/10905) offers a competition-proven design updated to the latest Kahles standard. All variants are available with the windage turret on the left (for right-handed shooters) or on the right (for left-handed shooters).

Both elevation and windage turrets operate at 10 MIL per revolution in 0.1 MRAD click values, adjusting counter-clockwise (CCW). Total travel is 35 MRAD elevation and 13 MRAD windage. The INDEXSTOP, Revolution Indicator, and EASYREAD labelling are standard on both turrets. The patented TwistGuard on the windage turret prevents unintentional adjustment without requiring locking. The top-mounted parallax covers 20 metres to infinity.
