US Optics TS 1-8x24 FFP

• 1-8x LPVO range: True 1x supports fast, both-eyes-open shooting at close distance, while 8x adds enough reach and target detail for practical mid-range work.
• First focal plane reticle: The reticle scales with magnification, so holdovers and ranging references stay consistent throughout the zoom range instead of being tied to one setting.
• Compact 24 mm design: The short 267.00 mm body and 507.00 g weight keep the rifle balanced and easier to handle on carbines used for dynamic shooting or hunting.
• Capped 1/4 MOA turrets: Protected adjustment knobs reduce the chance of accidental movement in the field while still allowing precise zeroing and repeatable corrections.
• Fully multicoated optics: The lens coatings help preserve contrast and usable brightness, making it easier to pick up targets quickly across changing light conditions.

About the US Optics TS Series

The US Optics TS series was introduced under the USO label as a more accessible line alongside the company’s boutique, high-end optics. In this family, the emphasis is on practical features that matter to shooters who want a capable riflescope for training, competition, hunting, or general-purpose carbine use without moving into the brand’s more specialized premium tiers. TS-Series scopes are manufactured overseas and then brought into the company’s facility for quality assurance, reflecting a design approach that aims to keep the feature set strong while controlling cost.

Within the line, the low-power variable models are the TS-6X and TS-8X, offering 1-6x and 1-8x magnification ranges for versatile short- to mid-range use. Both share a 30 mm tube, illuminated reticle options, and 1/4 MOA elevation and windage adjustments. US Optics also offers both first- and second-focal-plane configurations in the series, giving shooters a choice between constant reticle subtensions for hold-based shooting or a more conventional SFP layout. Reticle options such as JNG, MS2, and RBR show that the TS line is built around practical aiming systems rather than a one-reticle-fits-all approach.

About the US Optics TS 1-8x24 FFP

The US Optics TS 1-8x24 FFP is a low-power variable riflescope built for shooters who need one optic to cover close work and deliberate shots at longer distances. At 1x, it behaves like a fast carbine optic, helping with rapid target acquisition and smooth transitions between targets. Moving up to 8x magnification gives the shooter more precision for identifying small targets, refining shot placement, and using the reticle more effectively for holds.

Its first focal plane reticle is especially useful on an LPVO because the reticle’s subtensions remain correct across the magnification range. That matters in practical shooting, hunting optics use, and general-purpose rifle setups where there is not always time to return to one preset magnification before taking a shot. Red illumination improves reticle visibility against dark backgrounds or in dim light, while the 2.00 MOA dot helps draw the eye quickly at low power.

The scope uses a 30 mm tube and capped turrets with 1/4 MOA clicks, a combination that suits a field rifle well. The caps help prevent unintentional adjustment during transport or movement, while the click value remains familiar and precise for zeroing. With 95.25 mm eye relief, a fixed parallax setting at 92m, and a fully multicoated optical system, the TS 1-8x24 FFP is configured for straightforward use: mount it, zero it, and run it across a broad range of realistic shooting distances. Waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction further supports use on working rifles carried in variable weather and rough conditions.

About US Optics

U.S. Optics was founded in 1991 in Buena Park, California, and built its name around riflescopes and related shooting optics for demanding use. The company serves the competitive, hunting, and defense-shooting communities, and it is particularly well known for precision-oriented scope design. U.S. Optics also helped pioneer the low-power variable optic, now widely known as the LPVO, making the brand especially relevant in this category.

Over time, the company expanded from specialized custom-style optics into broader commercial offerings, including lines such as the SN-3 and later off-the-shelf series. After acquisition by DRSG, U.S. Optics moved to Kalispell, Montana, in 2017; in 2019 it joined ZRO Delta and moved to North Carolina, where its engineering team is located in Connelly Springs. That background helps explain the brand’s focus on rugged mechanical design, practical reticle systems, and riflescopes built around real shooting applications rather than purely catalog-driven features.
