Bushnell Elite 4500 4-16x50

• 4-16x magnification range: Covers the practical middle ground between woodland stalking and longer shots across open ground, giving the shooter enough low-end view for quick target pickup and enough top-end magnification for careful shot placement.
• 50 mm objective lens: The larger front lens helps maintain a bright, usable sight picture as magnification increases, which is especially valuable at dawn, dusk, and in shaded hunting terrain.
• Capped hunting turrets: Protected windage and elevation controls are less likely to be moved accidentally while carrying the rifle, so the zero stays secure in the field.
• Side parallax adjustment from 9,14 m to inf.: Lets the image and reticle come together sharply at varying distances, reducing aiming error and making the scope more versatile for close-range checks as well as longer shots.
• Fully multi-coated optics in a waterproof, fogproof body: The lens coatings support contrast and light transmission, while the nitrogen-filled, IPX-7-rated construction keeps the scope dependable in rain, cold mornings, and changing temperatures.

About the Bushnell Elite 4500 Series

The Bushnell Elite 4500 series is a hunting-focused line of variable-power riflescopes introduced in 2021 as the Elite 4500 4X family. Positioned as practical all-round hunting optics, these scopes combine a versatile zoom range with field-oriented features that matter more in real use than oversized tactical controls. Across the series, Bushnell pairs a fast-focus eyepiece with the familiar Multi-X reticle, creating a straightforward sight picture that is easy to acquire quickly in changing light and mixed terrain.

A defining trait of the line is its emphasis on durability and clean handling. Capped windage and elevation turrets suit hunting rifles that are carried often and adjusted less frequently, while fully multi-coated lenses support image clarity and contrast. Bushnell also applies EXO Barrier to the exterior lens surfaces, helping repel water, oil, fog, dust, and debris so the optic stays easier to keep clear in poor weather. In practice, the Elite 4500 series is built for hunters who want a traditional riflescope layout with useful magnification, dependable mechanics, and optical features aimed at real field conditions rather than range-only use.

About the Bushnell Elite 4500 4-16x50

The Bushnell Elite 4500 4-16x50 is the higher-magnification hunting model in the series, built for shooters who need one riflescope to cover a broad spread of distances. At 4x, it remains manageable for closer opportunities where a wide enough view helps with fast target acquisition. At 16x, it gives the extra precision needed for deliberate shot placement on smaller targets or when shooting across open fields, cut lines, and hillside terrain. The 50.00 mm objective lens supports a brighter image at the upper end of the zoom range, where smaller objectives can begin to feel less forgiving in low light.

This model is configured in a way that suits practical hunting use. Capped turrets protect the adjustments from knocks and unintentional movement during transport or while moving through brush. With up to 50.00 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment, the scope still offers enough internal travel for normal zeroing and typical hunting rifle setups. The parallax adjustment from 9,14 m to inf. adds flexibility for shooters who want a sharper image and more precise aiming at varied distances, especially when using the upper magnification range.

Its mechanical build is equally field-oriented. The 30 mm tube provides a robust mounting platform, while the 109.22 mm eye relief helps maintain comfortable head position on centerfire rifles. A nitrogen-filled, IPX-7 waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction makes the scope suitable for hard outdoor use, and the fully multi-coated optics help preserve contrast and detail when light and weather are less than ideal.

About Bushnell

Bushnell was founded in 1948 by Dave Bushnell, who began selling optical products from a photographic shop in Pasadena, California. The company developed into a broad sports-optics manufacturer with product lines that include Legend, Prime, Elite Tactical, and AR Optics. Bushnell focuses on equipment for hunting, target shooting, birding, and general outdoor observation, covering categories such as riflescopes, binoculars, red dot sights, rangefinders, spotting scopes, and trail cameras.

Within this field, Bushnell is known for combining practical optical design with features intended for outdoor use. One of its notable technologies is EXO Barrier, a lens coating developed to repel water, oil, dust, and debris on exterior lens surfaces. The company became part of a larger outdoor-products group when ATK acquired Bushnell Group Holdings on November 1, 2013. For riflescopes such as the Elite 4500, Bushnell's reputation rests on producing durable hunting optics with straightforward controls and weather-resistant construction.
