Vector Optics Weaver to Dovetail Adapter

• Rail conversion for wider compatibility: This adapter lets a mount or accessory made for an 11 mm dovetail interface sit on a 21 mm Picatinny or Weaver rail, making it useful when moving optics between rifles with different rail standards.
• Compact 30 mm body: The short footprint keeps added length to a minimum, which helps preserve mounting space for scopes, red dots or other rail-mounted accessories.
• 6061-T6 aluminum alloy construction: The aluminum body keeps weight low while providing the rigidity needed for regular range use and field handling.
• Shock-proof design: Built for use on real firearms, the adapter is intended to stay secure under recoil so the mounted setup remains dependable in practical shooting use.
• Black matte finish: The non-reflective finish blends cleanly with most rifles and mounts while helping reduce glare from exposed metal surfaces.

About the Vector Optics Series

Vector Optics mounting accessories are built to solve practical fitment problems between different rail and ring standards used on sporting and tactical firearms. Rather than focusing on one rifle platform, this part of the Vector Optics lineup is aimed at shooters who need a simple, durable way to adapt existing optics hardware to another mounting interface. That makes these products relevant for hunting rifles, rimfires, training carbines and general-purpose range setups where compatibility matters as much as the optic itself.

Within the brand’s broader catalog of optics and shooting accessories, these adapters and rails are the supporting components that make a system work as intended. The design philosophy is straightforward: compact dimensions, durable metal construction, and interfaces that match common standards such as Picatinny, Weaver and dovetail. In practice, that means a mount like this is less about adding complexity and more about preserving flexibility, especially for shooters who already own rings or accessories in one format and want to use them on another firearm without replacing the entire setup.

About the Vector Optics Weaver to Dovetail Adapter

The Vector Optics Weaver to Dovetail Adapter is a compact conversion mount designed for shooters who need to bridge two common rail standards without adding unnecessary bulk. Its layout places an 11 mm dovetail rail on top and a base that fits 21 mm Picatinny and Weaver rails underneath, allowing dovetail-mounted rings or accessories to be used on rifles and platforms equipped with a wider cross-slot rail. This is particularly useful when reusing existing mounting hardware instead of replacing rings or changing the optic setup entirely.

At 30 mm / 1.2 in long, the adapter stays short enough to fit into tight mounting spaces, which matters when rail room is limited by scope turrets, action length or other accessories. The 6061-T6 aluminum alloy body keeps the unit light while still providing the stiffness needed for a secure interface between firearm and optic mount. Its black matte finish gives it a subdued appearance that matches most modern rifles and optics.

This adapter is also described as shock proof for use on real firearms, which is an important practical detail for any mounting component. A rail adapter has to do more than simply fit; it needs to hold position under recoil and repeated handling. For shooters working with mixed rail standards, this model offers a simple mechanical solution that keeps a familiar dovetail-mounted accessory in service on a Picatinny or Weaver-equipped rifle.

About Vector Optics

Vector Optics was founded in 2007 by Xusheng Shen in Shanghai, China. The company develops optics and related equipment for hunting, competitive shooting, tactical use and outdoor activities, covering categories such as riflescopes, red-dot sights, binoculars, spotting scopes and rangefinders. It began under the name Sunclear before adopting the Vector Optics brand, and it later added the VictOptics sub-brand in 2018.

The company is known for offering a broad catalog that ranges from entry-level accessories to more specialized optics lines. In its higher-tier products, Vector Optics uses technologies such as Schott HD or ED glass and VePRO fully multi-coated lenses on selected Continental riflescopes. That mix of optics development and mounting hardware is relevant here, because products like this adapter reflect the same practical focus on making complete shooting setups function reliably across different rifles and rail standards.
