The Vanguard VEO 5 264CO28 Carbon Fiber Outdoor Tripod is made for observers and photographers who carry their gear over longer distances. It suits spotting scopes, binoculars and cameras. The 4-section carbon fiber legs with a 26 mm widest tube diameter keep the tripod light at 1.9 kg. They still provide a stable base for loads of up to 8 kg, including large observation optics.

The VEO PH-28 2-way pan head has its pan and tilt locking controls integrated into the handle. One hand guides the optic while the other adjusts focus or zoom, and a turn of the handle fixes the view on the target. The head accepts the included Arca-Swiss compatible QS-55P quick-release plate.

The tripod extends to 167.4 cm with the center column raised and stands at 140.7 cm with the column down. The hexagonal center column lets the legs fold to 57.9 cm with a folded diameter under 10 cm. Its built-in short column brings the head down to 20.8 cm for low observation positions. Three leg angle settings of 23°, 50° and 80° help you level the tripod on slopes and rough terrain.

Rubber feet twist into built-in metal spikes for grip on soil, snow or wet grass. The twist leg locks are easy to disassemble for cleaning. A spring-loaded hook lets you add weight for extra stability in wind. All parts are CNC-machined for accurate fit and long-term reliability.
