Smith & Wesson Night Guard Headlamp Dual-Beam RXP

• Dual-beam output: The combination of a bright white beam and a secondary red LED lets the headlamp handle both general illumination and low-signature night tasks, so it is easier to preserve dark adaptation when reading maps, checking gear, or moving around camp.
• USB rechargeable power: The integrated rechargeable battery removes the need to carry disposable cells and makes routine charging simple, which suits frequent everyday use and keeps the light ready between outings.
• Lightweight headlamp format: As a compact hands-free light, it keeps both hands available for work, equipment handling, or movement on uneven ground, making it more practical than a handheld light for close tasks.
• Waterproof construction: The sealed build adds confidence in rain, damp conditions, and general outdoor use, helping the lamp stay dependable when weather changes or gear gets exposed to moisture.
• 36 m beam distance: The beam reaches far enough for short-range navigation, campsite use, and work around vehicles or equipment, while remaining manageable for the close-to-medium distances where headlamps are used most.

About the Smith & Wesson Flashlights Series

Smith & Wesson Flashlights cover both handheld lights and headlamps, giving the brand a practical lighting range that sits alongside its broader field and shooting equipment. Within that family, the Night Guard line is positioned for everyday use rather than heavy-duty tactical applications, with compact formats and straightforward controls that suit routine carry, home use, and general outdoor tasks. The range includes both handheld models and rechargeable headlamps, so users can choose between pocketable convenience and hands-free lighting.

In the headlamp portion of the series, Smith & Wesson offers dual-beam and quad-beam variants. The dual-beam models combine white light with a red LED, while quad-beam versions add green and blue outputs for users who need more signaling or task-lighting options. That makes the series especially relevant for camping, night walks, workshop use, and similar situations where beam color matters as much as brightness. Across the range, the design emphasis is on practical portability, rechargeable operation, and lighting modes that support real-world use rather than oversized housings or specialized controls.

About the Smith & Wesson Night Guard Headlamp Dual-Beam RXP

The Smith & Wesson Night Guard Headlamp Dual-Beam RXP is a compact rechargeable headlamp built for users who need simple, hands-free lighting for everyday outdoor and utility tasks. Its main strength is the dual-beam layout, which pairs a white LED for normal illumination with a red LED for situations where reduced glare and preserved night vision are more useful than maximum brightness. That makes it well suited to campsite chores, checking equipment in the dark, reading at close range, or moving around without flooding the area with harsh white light.

With 425 lumens, a 36 m beam distance, and 2.2 hr. runtime, this model is configured for short-to-medium range work rather than long-distance search use. In practice, that balance fits the way headlamps are usually used: close tasks, walking, setup work, and general movement where a broad, usable beam matters more than extreme throw. Because the battery is USB rechargeable, it is easy to top up between uses from common power sources, which is convenient for travel, vehicles, and home storage.

The housing is also built with field practicality in mind. Its waterproof construction helps the lamp cope with wet weather and damp environments, while the lightweight headlamp format keeps both hands free for tools, gear, or safe footing. For users who want a straightforward Smith & Wesson headlamp with white and red output, this model focuses on portability, rechargeability, and uncomplicated everyday function.

About Smith & Wesson

Smith & Wesson was founded in 1852 in Springfield, Massachusetts, by Horace Smith and Daniel B. Wesson. The company is best known for firearms, but its product catalog extends into related equipment such as suppressors, handcuffs, and lighting products. It markets products under the Smith & Wesson and Gemtech brands, and its wider lineup includes established families such as M&P.

In the lighting category, Smith & Wesson lists product lines including Night Guard, M&P Night Terror, and Delta Force, covering both everyday and more tactical-oriented use. That breadth is relevant here because the company separates practical daily lighting from heavier-duty tactical lights rather than treating all flashlights as the same type of product. Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. is now headquartered in Maryville, Tennessee, after relocating from Springfield and opening its Maryville headquarters in 2023.
