Sightron SI 3-9X32

• 3-9x magnification range: This classic zoom span covers close woodland shots as well as longer field edges, making the scope easy to use on stalking rifles and rimfire setups without adding unnecessary bulk.
• 32 mm objective with fully multicoated lenses: The compact front lens keeps the scope trim and well balanced, while the coatings help maintain contrast and brightness for clearer target definition in mixed light.
• Illuminated reticle: Red illumination helps the aiming point stand out against dark game, shaded backgrounds, or low-contrast targets, which is especially useful when the reticle would otherwise blend into the scene.
• Capped locking turrets: The adjustment system stays protected during transport and field carry, reducing the chance of accidental movement and making the scope better suited to practical hunting use than constant dial-up shooting.
• Lightweight 1-inch design: At 328.80 g and with a 25.4 mm tube, the scope keeps rifle handling lively and mounts easily on a wide range of sporting rifles, including compact rimfire platforms.

About the Sightron SI Hunter Series

The Sightron SI Hunter series was developed as a practical hunting-focused line within the company’s broader sporting optics range. Marketed as the SIH Hunting Series, it was aimed at shooters who wanted straightforward field performance, compact dimensions, and familiar handling rather than specialized long-range competition features. The series included both hunting and Field Target configurations, which gave it a broader role than a basic entry hunting line.

Across the range, Sightron offered several reticle choices, including Duplex, Mil-Dot, Hunter Holdover, Crosshair and MOA-20, allowing the series to serve traditional hunters as well as shooters who preferred more reference points in the sight picture. The hunting models used a 1-inch tube, keeping weight and mounting requirements sensible for everyday sporting rifles. Within the family, the 3-9x32 RF model stood out as a rimfire-oriented variant, while other SIH models addressed more general centerfire and field use. In practical terms, the SI Hunter series is defined by compact proportions, familiar magnification ranges, and a configuration style that favors quick setup, reliable handling, and versatile use in the field.

About the Sightron SI 3-9X32

The Sightron SI 3-9X32 is a compact variable-power riflescope built for hunters and rimfire shooters who want a light, easy-handling optic with enough magnification for precise shot placement. Its 3-9x magnification range is one of the most versatile formats in hunting optics: 3x gives a wider view for shorter distances and moving game, while 9x provides the extra image scale needed for careful aiming on small targets or longer shots. Combined with a 32.00 mm objective lens, the scope stays trim on the rifle and avoids the top-heavy feel that larger hunting scopes can introduce.

The optical system uses fully multicoated lenses, which helps preserve contrast and image clarity in the field. A field of view from 11.00 m/100m to 4.00 m/100m supports both quick target acquisition at lower power and more deliberate observation at higher magnification. Eye relief of 91.40 mm to 101.60 mm gives comfortable head position and useful clearance on lightweight sporting rifles.

This model is configured with an illuminated reticle powered by a CR2032 battery, adding visibility when the target background is dark or the reticle needs more separation from the scene. Its capped, locking turrets are better suited to a hunting rifle than exposed dialing turrets because they protect the zero during carry. A fixed 45m parallax setting keeps operation simple, while the fast-focus eyepiece speeds up reticle sharpening. Nitrogen filling, waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction round out a scope designed for practical field use rather than bench-only shooting.

About Sightron

Sightron originally operated from Miami, Florida and later moved its headquarters to North Carolina. The company began with red-dot sights before expanding into hunting riflescopes, target scopes, binoculars, and spotting scopes, which gives it a broad base in sporting optics rather than a single-product focus. In riflescopes, Sightron is particularly known for lines such as SII, SIIB Big Sky, SIII, S-TAC, and SV, covering everything from general hunting to more specialized target and precision use.

Several Sightron technologies are especially relevant in this category. The company’s ExacTrack system is used in a number of its riflescope series to support repeatable windage and elevation adjustment, while Zact-7 Revcoat refers to its multicoating technology for optical lenses. Sightron’s reputation in riflescopes is closely tied to practical, mechanically focused designs intended for shooters who value dependable tracking, clear optics, and sensible field configurations.
