Rusan Short Modular Adapter

• Short modular format: The compact clamp keeps added length to a minimum, helping a thermal clip-on setup stay better balanced on the rifle and easier to handle in tight shooting positions.
• Modular system concept: As part of the Rusan modular adapter system, it supports a practical multi-rifle approach, making it easier to pair one clip-on device with different riflescope setups.
• Steel construction: The steel body provides the rigidity needed for a secure interface between riflescope and clip-on device, supporting consistent alignment in field use.
• Thermal clip-on application: Built specifically for thermal clip-on use, it forms the connection point that lets front-mounted thermal devices be integrated into a conventional daytime optic setup.
• 2-year warranty: The stated 2-year warranty adds clear manufacturer-backed coverage for an accessory that is regularly mounted, removed, and transported with hunting optics.

About the Rusan Accessories Series

Rusan Accessories is the part of the Rusan range focused on the practical hardware that connects optics, rifles, and clip-on devices into a usable field system. In this family, adapters and reduction rings play a central role, especially for hunters and shooters who use night-vision and thermal clip-on devices with conventional daytime riflescopes. The series includes both conventional and modular solutions, giving users a choice between a dedicated setup and a more flexible system built around shared components.

A defining idea behind the series is modularity. Rusan developed the modular adapter concept so that one clip-on device can be used across multiple rifles or so that different front attachments can be matched with different riflescopes more efficiently. That makes the series particularly relevant for users who want repeatable mounting with less duplication of equipment. Alongside these adapter products, the broader accessories range also includes mounting rings, scope mounts, and rail solutions, reflecting Rusan’s emphasis on mechanically precise interfaces rather than electronic add-ons.

About the Rusan Short Modular Adapter

The Rusan Short Modular Adapter is a compact connection component for mounting a thermal clip-on in a modular riflescope-based system. Its short format is important in practice because it reduces unnecessary forward extension, helping preserve the rifle’s handling and keeping the complete optic setup more compact. That matters when the rifle is carried over distance, used from improvised rests, or brought quickly onto target in hunting conditions.

As a product in the Rusan modular adapter system, this adapter is intended for users who value flexibility as much as secure fit. Instead of treating every rifle and clip-on combination as a separate closed setup, the modular approach allows the mounting system to be organized around interchangeable parts. In real use, that can simplify moving a thermal clip-on between compatible riflescope configurations while keeping the overall system more orderly and easier to manage.

The adapter’s steel construction supports that role by prioritizing rigidity and durability. For a clip-on interface, mechanical stability is not just about strength on paper; it affects how confidently the device can be mounted and removed as part of routine field use. Finished in black, the adapter matches the subdued appearance expected of hunting and observation equipment, while its purpose-built design keeps the focus on a stable, compact connection between daytime optic and thermal attachment.

About Rusan

Rusan-Mikron is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, with roots in the Rusan family’s metalworking business dating back to 1983. The company entered optics-related production in 1993, when it began making scope mounts, and it later expanded into scope rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products. This background in precision metalworking is central to Rusan’s reputation, because its products are built around fit, repeatability, and durable mechanical interfaces rather than electronics.

Rusan is especially well known for its adapter solutions for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices. It introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009, a product area that remains closely associated with the brand. Today, the company’s catalog covers mounting solutions for a wide range of rifles and optics, with a strong focus on the practical hardware needed to integrate modern clip-on systems into hunting and shooting setups.
