Rusan Pivot mount for Steyr SSG 69, Picatinny rail

• Steyr SSG 69 fit: This Rusan pivot mount is made specifically for the Steyr SSG 69, giving a rifle-specific interface that supports secure alignment and repeatable scope installation.
• Picatinny top interface: The Picatinny rail upper accepts a wide range of optics and accessories, making it easier to switch between different sighting setups without changing the rifle-side mount.
• Steel construction: Built from steel, the mount is suited to hard field use where rigidity and wear resistance matter for maintaining a stable optic platform over time.
• Low 14.00 mm build height: The 14.00 mm BH height helps keep the optic close to the bore, which supports a more natural cheek weld and a more compact overall setup.
• Pivot-mount design: As part of the Rusan Pivot Mounts family, this design is intended for shooters who want a detachable mounting solution with the practical handling advantages of a pivot system.

About the Rusan Pivot Mounts Series

Rusan Pivot Mounts are a dedicated family of firearm optics mounts built around the practical needs of rifle owners who want a detachable, rifle-specific mounting solution. Rusan lists pivot mounts as a distinct category within its scope-mount range, with versions made for particular rifle makes and models rather than a one-size-fits-all pattern. That approach matters in use because the mount geometry is matched to the host rifle and intended optic interface.

Within the series, variants are offered for different mounting interfaces, including 11 mm prisms and Picatinny rails, so the range can support both traditional scope setups and more flexible rail-based configurations. Rusan also offers complete pivot mounts with rings for common tube diameters such as 26 (25.4), 30, 34, 36, and 40 mm, alongside pivot mounts sold in other configurations. Across the line, the emphasis is on steel construction and quick-release fixation, which suits hunting and precision rifle applications where repeatable removal, solid lock-up, and long service life are more important than minimizing weight alone.

About the Rusan Pivot mount for Steyr SSG 69, Picatinny rail

The Rusan Pivot mount for Steyr SSG 69, Picatinny rail is a rifle-specific mounting solution that combines the handling advantages of a pivot system with the flexibility of a Picatinny rail top. For a rifle such as the Steyr SSG 69, that combination is useful when the shooter wants the secure fit of a dedicated mount but does not want to be limited to one ring diameter or one optic format. A Picatinny upper makes it easier to fit different day optics, compact sights, or other rail-mounted accessories while keeping the mount matched to the rifle below.

The mount is made from steel, which is an important choice for a component that has to resist wear at the locking surfaces and maintain consistent support under repeated use. In practice, that means a more durable interface for rifles that see regular transport, repeated optic changes, or demanding range use. The 14.00 mm BH height keeps the setup relatively low, helping preserve a steadier cheek position and a more controlled sight picture. With KR 0.0 mm extension, the mount stays neutral in its fore-and-aft layout, which suits shooters who already have adequate eye-relief positioning from their optic and rail arrangement. Overall, this is a practical pivot mount for shooters who want a robust steel base and the broad compatibility of the Picatinny standard on the SSG 69 platform.

About Rusan

Rusan-Mikron is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, Croatia, with roots in the Rusan family’s metalworking business dating to 1983. Željko Rusan opened a gunsmith shop in 1986, and the company later expanded into dedicated optics-mounting products, beginning scope-mount production in 1993. This background shows in a product range shaped by practical firearm fitting and machining rather than generic accessory design.

Today, Rusan is known for manufacturing scope mounts, scope rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products, along with adapter systems for modern electro-optics. The company introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009 and also produces adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices. That mix of traditional scope-mount engineering and support for newer sighting systems makes Rusan especially relevant in the field of hunting optics and rifle mounting solutions.
