Rusan Pivot Mount for Sauer 303, 40 mm

• Pivot quick-release design: The mount lets a riflescope be removed and reattached with minimal delay, which is useful when switching optics or transporting the rifle while preserving a consistent mounting position.
• 40 mm ring configuration: Built for scopes with a 40 mm tube, this version gives a secure, purpose-made fit for larger optics that need a matching ring diameter rather than compromise inserts.
• Adjustable windage: The integrated windage adjustment helps align the optic precisely to the rifle, reducing the need to use excessive scope adjustment and supporting a cleaner zeroing setup.
• Steel construction: A steel mount is chosen for strength and long-term wear resistance, which matters on hunting rifles that see repeated recoil, field use, and frequent removal and reinstallation.
• Rifle-specific Sauer interface: Made for the Sauer 303 (ISI) platform and related ISI interfaces, the mount is shaped for proper fit on the intended rifle family instead of relying on a generic base solution.

About the Rusan Pivot Mounts Series

Rusan Pivot Mounts are a dedicated family of firearm optics mounts built around a practical quick-release concept for hunters and shooters who want a secure scope installation with the option to remove the optic when needed. The series covers rifle-specific solutions for a wide range of actions and mounting interfaces, including versions for 11 mm prisms, Picatinny rails, and proprietary rifle platforms. That broad compatibility makes the line relevant both for classic hunting rifles and for more specialized setups.

Within the range, Rusan offers complete pivot mounts with rings in 26 (25.4), 30, 34, 36, and 40 mm sizes, as well as versions supplied without bases. The design philosophy is straightforward: steel construction for durability, quick-release fixation for fast handling, and model-specific geometry for a stable fit on the rifle. In practice, that gives the series a clear role in hunting optics, especially where a shooter may alternate between different sighting systems or remove the scope for transport and storage while still wanting a repeatable mounting solution.

About the Rusan Pivot Mount for Sauer 303, 40 mm

The Rusan Pivot Mount for Sauer 303, 40 mm is a rifle-specific mounting solution for users who run a 40 mm scope tube on the Sauer 303 (ISI) platform. Its main advantage is that it combines a dedicated fit for the rifle with a pivot-style quick-release system, giving the optic a secure mechanical interface while still allowing fast removal when the rifle needs to be packed, serviced, or used with a different sighting setup.

This version is particularly relevant for larger, heavier riflescopes that use a 40 mm tube. A mount matched to the tube diameter supports proper clamping and even contact, which is important for maintaining alignment and avoiding unnecessary stress on the scope body. The mount also features adjustable windage, a practical detail that helps center the optical system more effectively during setup. By correcting alignment at the mount, the shooter can preserve more of the riflescope’s internal adjustment range for actual zeroing and trajectory correction.

Rusan builds this model as a complete pivot mount with bases and uses steel as the core material. That matters in field use because steel resists wear at contact points and locking surfaces over repeated attachment cycles. For a semi-automatic hunting rifle such as the Sauer 303, the result is a mount that emphasizes secure retention, repeatable handling, and compatibility with a specific rifle-and-scope combination rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

About Rusan

Rusan-Mikron is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, Croatia, with roots in the Rusan family’s metalworking business dating to 1983. Željko Rusan opened a gunsmith shop in 1986, and the company began producing scope mounts in 1993. That background explains why Rusan remains closely associated with practical firearm mounting solutions and precision-machined shooting accessories.

The company’s range includes scope mounts, scope rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products, alongside adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices. Rusan introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009, and it is also known for adapter clamps used with clip-on optics. In the sporting optics and shooting market, the brand has built its reputation on model-specific fit, robust metal construction, and a product catalogue that covers both traditional riflescope mounting and modern thermal or night-vision integration.
