Rusan Pivot Mount for Mauser M12, 30 mm Product description

  • Pivot quick-release design: the mount lets the riflescope be removed and reattached quickly, which is useful when switching optics or returning to open sights without a complicated reinstallation.
  • 30 mm scope fit: built for riflescopes with a 30 mm main tube, giving a secure and properly matched interface for many modern hunting optics.
  • Adjustable windage: built-in windage adjustment helps align the optic more precisely during setup, reducing the need to use excessive scope correction.
  • Steel construction: the steel build adds the rigidity and wear resistance needed for repeated mounting cycles and dependable long-term use on a hunting rifle.
  • Model-specific Mauser M12 interface: designed for the Mauser M12 (pre-2019) pattern listed for this mount, it provides a dedicated fit instead of a generic one-size solution.

About the Rusan Pivot Mounts Series

Rusan Pivot Mounts are built as a dedicated family of firearm optics mounts for shooters who want a removable scope setup without giving up a solid mechanical connection. In the Rusan range, this series covers multiple rifle interfaces, including versions for 11 mm prisms and Picatinny rails, as well as rifle-specific solutions for a wide variety of actions. That broad model coverage makes the series especially relevant for hunters using traditional European bolt-action rifles and other firearms that benefit from a tailored mount.

The series includes complete pivot mounts with rings in 26 (25.4), 30, 34, 36, and 40 mm sizes, along with versions supplied without bases for rifles that already use a compatible lower interface. Across the range, the design focus is practical: steel construction for strength, quick-release fixation for fast handling in the field, and rifle-specific geometry for a more precise fit. In use, that gives the Pivot Mounts series a clear role in hunting optics setups where repeatable removal, robust construction, and compatibility with established rifle platforms matter more than universal fit.

About the Rusan Pivot Mount for Mauser M12, 30 mm

The Rusan Pivot Mount for Mauser M12, 30 mm is a rifle-specific scope mount made for shooters who want a traditional pivot system matched to a 30 mm riflescope tube. Its main advantage is the combination of a dedicated fit for the Mauser M12 (pre-2019) platform and a quick-release operating concept that makes scope removal more practical in the field. For hunting rifles that may be carried in tight spaces, transported with the optic removed, or used with different sighting setups, that kind of mount can be more convenient than a fixed installation.

The use of steel is important here because it supports the mount’s role as a structural connection between rifle and optic. A steel pivot mount is well suited to repeated opening, closing, and locking cycles while maintaining the solid feel expected from a mechanical hunting mount. The black finish keeps the appearance understated and appropriate for a working rifle setup.

A particularly useful detail is the adjustable windage. In practice, this helps center the scope more effectively during installation, which can preserve more of the optic’s internal adjustment range for actual zeroing and trajectory correction. For a 30 mm hunting riflescope on a Mauser M12, that makes the mount not just a holding system, but a more refined part of the overall sighting setup.

About Rusan

Rusan-Mikron is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, with roots in the Rusan family’s metalworking business dating back to 1983. Željko Rusan opened a gunsmith shop in 1986, and the company began producing scope mounts in 1993, establishing the product area that remains central to the brand today. This long involvement in machining and firearms-related components is reflected in a range focused on fit, mechanical function, and compatibility with specific rifle platforms.

Rusan is known for manufacturing scope mounts, scope rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products, as well as adapter systems for clip-on sights. The company introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009 and also produces adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices. That combination of classic scope-mount engineering and modern sighting accessories makes Rusan particularly relevant in the hunting optics and mounting category.

Hi!!! Are these rings ok for a Mauser Argentino 1909 receiver? Thanks.

by Ignacio

Dear Sir!

No, these mounts are for the newer Mauser M98 rifles and not the old receivers with bulb.

Hello, I have the rifle Mauser M12 black impact. I want to mount my swarovski model Z8i 2,3-18x56 scope on it. Please give me a recommendation which mount can be used

by MC

For your rifle, we would recommend a Rusan Pivot mount on the page below.

https://www.optics-trade.eu/en/rusan-pivot-mount-for-mauser-m12-30-mm.html

The BH height for your Swarovski riflescope should be 19 mm in order to work comfortably. The extension should be 32 mm.

What does the 'KR' Extension drop-down box mean? There is an asterix but no explanation to be found?

by Michael

We would kindly ask you to take a look at our OpticsTrade Blog post on the topic of BH height and extension (KR).

by Optics Trade team

Hello, I am trying to determine the correct ring height to get (Rusan Pivot Mounts/Rings for a Mauser M12) but the measurements seem to be different to popular ring height calculators I use to determine clearance. Are the mm measurements for ring height measured to the base or centre of the scope ring (from the bottom of the base)? Most calculators use the centre of the ring. Any info would be appreciated.

by Michael

We would kindly ask you to take a look at the attached blog post of ours on the link below. There you will see how a BH height is properly measured.

https://www.optics-trade.eu/blog/scope-mounts-bh-height-and-kr-extension/

In order to choose the correct BH height for your configuration, we would kindly ask you to specify exactly which optics will you be using.
