Rusan Pivot mount for Howa 1500, Picatinny rail

• Quick-release pivot design: The pivot mechanism lets the optic be removed and reattached quickly, which is useful when switching between sighting systems or transporting the rifle while keeping the setup consistent and secure.
• Steel construction: A steel mount gives the assembly the rigidity needed for repeatable alignment and long service life, especially on hard-used hunting rifles and heavier optics.
• Picatinny rail interface: The integrated Picatinny rail accepts a wide range of compatible rings and accessories, making it easier to match the rifle with different scopes or sighting solutions.
• Model-specific fit for Howa 1500: This mount is made for the Howa 1500 platform, helping provide correct positioning and dependable engagement with the rifle’s receiver geometry.
• Low 14.00 mm build height: A restrained mounting height helps keep the optic closer to the bore, which supports a more natural cheek weld and a more compact overall rifle setup.

About the Rusan Pivot Mounts Series

Rusan Pivot Mounts are built as a dedicated family of firearm optics mounts for shooters who want a secure attachment with the convenience of quick-release fixation. Within the range, Rusan offers pivot-mount variants for different rifle mounting interfaces, including 11 mm prisms and Picatinny rails, so the system can be adapted to different rifles and optic layouts without changing the basic operating concept.

The series also covers several scope-tube standards, with complete mounts listed for 26 (25.4), 30, 34, 36, and 40 mm tubes, alongside versions supplied without bases. That makes the line relevant both to shooters building a complete mounting solution and to those who already have part of the interface in place. Across the series, the emphasis is on steel construction, repeatable handling, and rifle-specific fitment. In practice, that makes Rusan Pivot Mounts well suited to traditional hunting rifles and other setups where a robust detachable mount is preferred over a more universal but less tailored solution.

About the Rusan Pivot mount for Howa 1500, Picatinny rail

The Rusan Pivot mount for Howa 1500, Picatinny rail is a one-piece pivot mount made for shooters who want the flexibility of a Picatinny rail interface on the Howa 1500 action while keeping the proven handling of a pivot system. Instead of limiting the rifle to one ring diameter or one optic format, the rail layout opens the door to a broad selection of compatible scope rings and sighting accessories. That is especially useful on a rifle platform such as the Howa 1500, which is often configured for hunting, general-purpose field use, or load-development work with different optics over time.

The mount uses steel for strength and stability, an important advantage when the goal is to maintain consistent optic alignment through repeated use. Its 14.00 mm BH height keeps the assembly relatively low, helping the optic sit closer to the bore line for a more settled cheek position and a cleaner rifle profile. With KR 0.0 mm extension, the mount stays neutral in its fore-aft geometry, which suits setups where the receiver and optic already provide the needed eye-position relationship. As a model-specific mount for the Howa 1500, it is intended to provide a precise interface rather than a generic fit, giving the rifle a solid base for a wide range of Picatinny-compatible optics.

About Rusan

Rusan is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, where the Rusan family’s metalworking business dates to 1983. Željko Rusan opened a gunsmith shop in 1986, and the company began producing scope mounts in 1993. That background is reflected in a product range centered on practical firearm interface components rather than general outdoor equipment.

Today, Rusan-Mikron manufactures scope mounts, scope rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products, along with adapter clamps for clip-on sights and adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices. The company introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009, a product type that became widely associated with the brand. In the optics-mounting category, Rusan is known for rifle-specific solutions that focus on secure fit, mechanical durability, and compatibility with a broad range of sporting and hunting rifles.
