ABOUT THE RECKNAGEL TWO-PIECE WEAVER BASE FOR MAUSER M96 / M97

The Recknagel Two-Piece Weaver Base for Mauser M96 / M97 stands out as a lightweight and economical solution for mounting optics. Crafted from high-strength black anodised aluminium, these bases are not only robust but also resistant to corrosion and wear, ensuring longevity in diverse environmental conditions. Designed specifically for the Mauser M96 and M97, they provide a precise fit that is critical for maintaining zero. While two-piece Weaver bases offer a cost-effective method for attaching a rifle scope using Weaver rings, their installation demands precise alignment in height, longitudinal, and horizontal axes to prevent stressing the scope tube and causing flex or misalignment. This makes them a popular choice for budget-conscious hunters and recreational shooters seeking a reliable mounting system, though professional installation is often recommended to maximise performance and prevent optic damage. These bases are ideal for users who prioritise a traditional mounting aesthetic and a lightweight setup, ensuring their rifle remains agile and accurate in the field.
