Recknagel G9 Plus, Swarovski SR rail Rotation Lock

• G9 Plus locking system: The integrated cam-lock design secures the optic firmly and supports repeatable removal and reattachment, which matters when a rifle alternates between different sighting setups.
• Swarovski SR rail interface: Built for scopes with the Swarovski SR rail, this version avoids separate rings and creates a clean, stable connection with correct alignment from the start.
• Steel construction: The steel body favors long-term durability and resistance to wear at the locking surfaces, an important advantage on hunting rifles that see frequent mounting cycles.
• 16.00 mm BH height: This height helps position the optic at a practical level for bolt clearance and sight picture, while keeping the setup compact and well balanced on the rifle.
• ERAMATIC two-piece swing-mount concept: As part of Recknagel’s swing-mount system, it supports fast handling and dependable return to position when the optic is removed and fitted again.

About the ERAMATIC Standard Series

ERAMATIC Standard is Recknagel’s two-piece swing-mount family for fitting optical sights to sporting firearms. The series is built around a practical idea: the optic can be removed when needed and mounted again without turning the rifle into a permanent one-optic setup. That makes the system especially relevant for bolt-action rifles and drillings, where hunters may want to switch between a scope and open sights or transport the rifle with the optic detached.

Within the range, Recknagel offers numerous model-specific configurations and several locking variants, including R6, H7, V8, G9 and G9-Plus. The family is known for its mechanical, repeatable swing-mount layout rather than a one-size-fits-all rail solution. In practice, that gives the ERAMATIC Standard line its appeal: it is designed for shooters who want a traditional mounting concept with precise fit, secure lock-up and straightforward handling. Depending on the upper part, the series accommodates classic rings or manufacturer-specific rail interfaces, making it suitable for a wide variety of hunting optics and rifle combinations.

About the Recknagel G9 Plus, Swarovski SR rail Rotation Lock

The Recknagel G9 Plus, Swarovski SR rail Rotation Lock is a specialized upper locking component for the ERAMATIC swing-mount system, intended for rifles fitted with a Swarovski SR rail scope. Instead of clamping a conventional tube, it interfaces directly with the rail, which simplifies alignment and creates a neat, low-profile installation. For hunters using premium rail-equipped optics, this approach reduces unnecessary parts and keeps the mounting arrangement mechanically direct.

Its defining feature is the G9 Plus locking system, which uses an integrated cam-lock arrangement and a thumb-operated locking element for confident handling. In practical use, that matters when the optic is removed for transport, for access to iron sights, or when switching between sighting systems on the same rifle. A secure lock-up and consistent repositioning are central to the value of this type of mount, because the benefit of a swing mount depends on returning the optic to the same relationship with the rifle.

The body is made from steel, a sensible choice for a component that must withstand repeated locking cycles and maintain stable contact surfaces over time. With a 16.00 mm BH height, this version is configured for a compact optic position while still addressing the practical fit requirements of the rifle and scope combination. The black finish keeps the appearance understated and appropriate for traditional hunting rifles as well as more modern sporting setups.

About Recknagel

Recknagel is a German manufacturer focused on firearm and riflescope mounting systems, sights and hunting accessories. The company’s history began in 1867, when Adolf Recknagel started producing firearm sights in Albrechts near Suhl, Thuringia. Over time, the range expanded to include scope mounts, Picatinny rails, triggers, safeties and other components used on hunting and sporting rifles.

The company relocated from Schweinfurt to Bergrheinfeld in 2006, and in 2010 it introduced the ERATAC line for tactical mounts and accessories. That combination of traditional gunmaking-related know-how and modern mounting design is what makes Recknagel especially relevant in this category. In 2022, Dr. Moritz Fehrer acquired the company. Today, Recknagel remains closely associated with precise optical mounting solutions for hunters and sport shooters.
