Pixfra Ranger R435 Product description

  • 35 mm F1.0 objective lens: the larger front lens and fast aperture help the Pixfra Ranger R435 gather more thermal information, which improves target recognition and scene detail in poor weather and after dark.
  • 384x288 VOx sensor with 12 μm pitch: this sensor format balances detail, responsiveness and compact size, giving a clear thermal image while keeping the monocular light enough for regular handheld use.
  • ≤30 mK sensitivity: high thermal sensitivity helps reveal small temperature differences, so animals, people and background features stand out more clearly when contrast in the environment is low.
  • 1440x1080 OLED display: the high-resolution OLED screen presents a crisp, high-contrast image that is easier to interpret during scanning, tracking and longer observation sessions.
  • Compact 400 g housing with WiFi and recording: the low weight supports one-handed use, while wireless connectivity and onboard photo and video capture make it easier to document sightings and share footage from the field.

About the Pixfra Ranger Series

Pixfra Ranger is a family of handheld thermal monoculars built for users who need a practical balance of image quality, portability and field durability. Pixfra currently lists the series with models including the R425, R435, R625, R635 and R650, giving users a choice between 384 × 288 and 640 × 512 detector resolutions depending on how much detail and reach they need. Across the range, Ranger monoculars use uncooled vanadium oxide detectors with 12 μm pixel pitch and sensitivity of ≤30 mK at f/1.0, a combination aimed at producing clear thermal separation in demanding outdoor conditions.

The series is intended for outdoor exploration, hunting and wildlife observation, where fast detection matters more than carrying a larger optic. All listed Ranger models use a 1440 × 1080 OLED display and offer multiple image palettes including white hot, black hot, alarm, iron red, jade and amber, allowing the image to be adapted to terrain, weather and user preference. Ranger models are also specified for IP67 protection and operation down to −30 °C, which suits regular use in wet, cold and rough environments where a thermal monocular has to remain dependable rather than delicate.

About the Pixfra Ranger R435

Pixfra Ranger R435 is the 35 mm model in the 384-series Ranger lineup, designed for users who want more reach than a short-lens thermal monocular without moving to a larger and heavier device. Its 3.27 x magnification gives a tighter view that helps with identifying heat signatures at distance, while the 1800.00 m detection range makes it well suited to scanning open ground, field edges and wider observation areas. Because the lens uses a fast F1.0 aperture, the optic can collect more thermal energy, which helps preserve scene detail when conditions are cold, damp or visually obscured.

The image chain is built around a 384x288 VOx uncooled sensor with 12.00 μm pixel pitch, 30.00 mK NETD and a 50.00 Hz refresh rate. In practice, that means the monocular is responsive when panning and better able to separate subtle temperature differences in vegetation, terrain and animal outlines. The 1440x1080 OLED display gives the thermal image a crisp presentation with strong contrast, which reduces the vague, blocky look that can make long observation tiring on lower-resolution screens.

For field use, the Ranger R435 keeps handling straightforward. It weighs 400.00 g, measures 199.80 mm in length and supports both automatic and manual calibration, so the user can prioritize convenience or intervene when the scene demands it. WiFi connectivity, plus photo and video recording, add practical value for documenting observations, reviewing movement patterns and sharing footage. With waterproof, fogproof construction, a working range of -30°C to +50°C and up to 7.50 h of battery life, it is configured for regular handheld thermal observation rather than occasional fair-weather use.

About Pixfra

Pixfra is the outdoor brand of Zhejiang Pixfra Technology Co., Ltd., based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. The company develops thermal imaging modules, cores, outdoor products, cameras and related solutions, which places its expertise directly in the technologies used in handheld thermal devices and hunting optics. Within its outdoor range, Pixfra offers thermal monoculars, thermal scopes, thermal front attachments, multispectral binoculars and digital day-and-night scopes, showing a clear focus on observation and aiming products built around thermal imaging.

Its product lines include the Mile and Arc thermal monocular series, and Pixfra identifies hunting, outdoor exploration and animal observation as key applications for its outdoor devices. The brand also uses its own imaging technologies, including PIPS 2.0 in the Mile 2 series, reflecting a product approach that combines sensor hardware with in-house image processing for practical field use.
