Pixfra Mile 2 M619 Product description

  • 640x512 thermal sensor: The high-resolution VOx detector gives the Pixfra Mile 2 M619 a cleaner, more detailed image, helping distinguish animals, terrain edges, and heat sources more confidently at longer distances.
  • 12 μm pixel pitch and 25.00 mK NETD: This combination improves fine heat separation, so subtle temperature differences remain visible in damp weather, cluttered backgrounds, and low-contrast scenes.
  • Compact 320.00 g housing: The light, pocket-friendly format is easier to carry for long periods, making it practical for scanning on foot, checking fields, or keeping as a constant observation tool.
  • 19.00 mm F 1.0 objective lens: The fast lens supports strong thermal intake for a bright, usable image while maintaining a wide 22.80 ° field of view for faster area coverage.
  • WiFi, recording, and 16 GB built-in storage: Wireless connectivity and onboard image and video capture make it easier to document sightings, review observations later, and share footage from the field.

About the Pixfra Mile 2 Series

Pixfra Mile 2 is a compact thermal monocular family introduced in Pixfra’s 2024 outdoor catalog as a new generation of handheld thermal observation devices. The series is built around uncooled vanadium-oxide detectors with 12 μm pixel pitch, giving it a modern thermal platform across several resolution levels, from entry configurations up to 640 × 512 models. Within Pixfra’s outdoor lineup, Mile 2 sits as a portable, easy-to-carry option for users who need thermal imaging without the bulk of larger observation systems.

The series is intended for outdoor exploration, hunting, and wildlife observation, with an emphasis on compact dimensions, practical field handling, and straightforward operation. Pixfra equips the line with PIPS 2.0 image processing, while the listed models also include Wi-Fi, hot-spot tracing, and 16 GB of built-in storage for recording and connectivity in the field. The range includes both fixed-focus and manual-focus variants, allowing users to choose between maximum simplicity and more precise image adjustment. Across the family, the design philosophy is clear: a small thermal monocular that remains easy to carry, quick to deploy, and capable enough for regular observation work in changing outdoor conditions.

About the Pixfra Mile 2 M619

The Pixfra Mile 2 M619 is the higher-resolution 19 mm model in the series, combining a 640x512 VOx sensor with a 19.00 mm F 1.0 objective lens and 1.25 x optical magnification. In practice, this setup suits users who want a balanced handheld thermal monocular for scanning open ground, woodland edges, and mixed terrain without giving up too much field of view. Its 404.00 m/1000m field of view helps cover ground quickly, while the 1000.00 m detection range gives it enough reach for early spotting and general observation beyond close distances.

Image quality is supported by the sensor’s 12.00 μm pixel pitch, 25.00 mK NETD, and 50.00 Hz refresh rate. Together, these characteristics help the M619 show finer heat differences and maintain a smoother view when panning, which matters when tracking moving animals or reading terrain contours in poor visibility. The 800x600 OLED display provides a clear viewing image, and the model also adds digital zoom up to 8× for closer inspection after initial detection. Because digital zoom is most useful once a target has already been found, the M619 works well as a scanner first and an identification aid second.

Its handling is equally important. At 320.00 g and 157.50 mm long, the monocular remains easy to carry in a pocket or jacket, while the manual focus system allows more precise image tuning at different distances than a fixed-focus design. WiFi connectivity, image capture, video recording, video output, and 16 GB built-in storage make it practical for documenting observations, and the 6.50 h rechargeable battery supports extended sessions in the field.
