Meprolight Tru-Dot for Browning Hi-Power Mk.II

• Self-illuminated tritium system: The Tru-Dot sight picture stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready for defensive use at any hour.
• Three-dot alignment: A clear green front and rear dot layout helps the eye center the sights quickly, which supports faster sight acquisition under stress.
• Fixed steel construction: The all-steel design is built for daily carry and repeated holster use, while the fixed setup keeps the sight picture simple and durable.
• Square rear sight: The square rear notch gives a familiar, easy-to-read reference that helps maintain consistent alignment for controlled, accurate handgun shooting.
• Dedicated Browning Hi-Power Mk.II fit: Made for the Browning Hi-Power Mk.II, this sight set offers a model-specific replacement for factory sights without changing the pistol’s handling.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

The Meprolight Tru-Dot series is a family of handgun sights built as a practical replacement for factory iron sights on a wide range of pistols. In Meprolight’s handgun lineup, Tru-Dot models cover straightforward fixed sights as well as adjustable and suppressor-height variants, giving shooters options for duty use, concealed carry, range work, and specialized pistol setups. A defining feature of the series is its three-dot sight picture, designed to remain familiar in daylight while still providing a visible aiming reference in reduced light.

At the core of the series is tritium illumination, which allows the sights to glow in low-light and nighttime conditions without batteries or switches. That matters on a defensive handgun because the sight picture is always present and does not depend on electronics or ambient light. Across the range, the design philosophy stays simple: durable replacement sights, a consistent alignment picture, and model-specific fit for common service and carry pistols. Some versions add windage and elevation adjustment or extra height for suppressor use, but the series as a whole is centered on dependable, always-available iron sights for shooters who want a clear day-and-night aiming reference.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Browning Hi-Power Mk.II

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Browning Hi-Power Mk.II is a dedicated tritium night sight set made for shooters who want to keep the classic handling of the Hi-Power while improving visibility in poor light. Its fixed configuration suits a defensive or service-style pistol well, because there are no adjustment controls to snag or shift in hard use. Instead, the emphasis is on a stable, repeatable sight picture that is ready as soon as the pistol is drawn.

The sight set uses a three-dot green alignment system, which gives the shooter an intuitive reference in both daylight and darkness. In practical terms, that means the front sight is easier to pick up quickly, while the rear dots help center it without requiring extra thought. The self-illuminated tritium design works without batteries, so the sights remain active at all times and do not add maintenance beyond normal pistol care.

Its steel construction is well suited to a handgun that may see regular carry, training, or range use, offering better resistance to knocks and holster wear than lighter materials. The square rear sight keeps the picture familiar for shooters accustomed to conventional combat sights, and the black housing avoids unnecessary distraction around the glowing dots. For a Browning Hi-Power Mk.II owner, this model delivers a straightforward upgrade focused on faster low-light alignment, durable everyday use, and preserving the practical simplicity of iron sights.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 and is based in Or Akiva, Israel. The company developed as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces, and it remains focused on optical and electro-optical sighting systems for hard field use. As a division of SK Group, Meprolight builds products for military, law-enforcement, and civilian users rather than concentrating on only one part of the market.

Its catalog covers conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, magnified optics, night-vision systems, and thermal devices for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines. That broad product range is relevant here because Meprolight has long experience in sighting systems where durability, low-light capability, and simple operation matter. In the handgun category, the brand is particularly well known for self-illuminated sight designs that provide an always-visible aiming reference without relying on batteries.
