Hawke Airmax 30 WA SF 6-24x50 Product description

  • 24× Maximum Magnification for Extended Field Target Distances: The 6–24× magnification range provides the image scale needed for precise shot placement at the longer distances encountered in field target competition, where targets may be placed at ranges requiring fine aim point precision. The 6× minimum retains a field of view of 6.8 metres at 100 metres for target identification and stage scanning before increasing magnification for the shot.
  • SFP AMX IR Reticle with 102mm Eye Relief: The second focal plane AMX IR reticle provides airgun-specific holdover marks with a consistent reticle appearance at all magnification settings. The reticle is illuminated in red only across 6 brightness levels with off positions between each step. The 102mm of eye relief provides generous clearance across the full range of air rifle platforms, including spring-powered designs.
  • Wide-Angle 30mm Chassis with 16-Layer Lenses: The 30mm wide-angle mono-tube chassis delivers a broader field of view at minimum magnification than standard non-WA designs in the same magnification class. The 16-layer fully multi-coated lenses provide high light transmission and a clear image across the full 6–24× range, with an exit pupil of 8.3 mm at 6× supporting adequate image brightness at minimum magnification.
  • Side Focus from 9 Metres with 4" Sidewheel: The side-mounted parallax knob covers 9 metres to infinity and is supplied as standard with a large 4" removable sidewheel for precise parallax correction by feel — particularly useful at competition distances where accurate parallax elimination directly affects point of aim at varying close-to-medium ranges.
  • Capped Target Turrets with 1/10 MRAD Clicks: The capped, resettable target turrets provide 17 MRAD of elevation and windage adjustment in 1/10 MRAD click increments, directly compatible with the MRAD-based AMX reticle subtensions. The turrets are resettable after zeroing for straightforward return-to-zero dialling during a competition stage.

About the Airmax 30 WA SF Series

The Hawke Airmax 30 WA SF series is Hawke's second focal plane dedicated airgun scope range, built on a 30mm wide-angle chassis with side focus parallax and the proprietary AMX reticle calibrated for airgun pellet trajectories. The series is designed for field target, HFT, and general precision airgun shooting where a wide field of view, close-range parallax correction, and an airgun-specific reticle are the primary requirements.

All Airmax 30 WA SF models feature 16-layer fully multi-coated lenses, side focus parallax from 9 metres to infinity, a removable large-diameter 4" sidewheel, capped resettable target turrets with 1/10 MRAD click values, 102mm of eye relief, and single-colour red illumination. The series is available in two magnification configurations: the 4-16x50 (art. no. 13311) for general field target and HFT use, and the 6-24x50 (art. no. 13321) for shooters who require higher maximum magnification for longer competition distances.

About the Model (Hawke Airmax 30 WA SF 6-24x50 AMX IR)

The Hawke Airmax 30 WA SF 6-24x50 AMX IR is the higher-magnification configuration in the Airmax 30 WA SF lineup, designed for field target competition and precision airgun shooting where the ability to resolve fine target detail and place shots precisely at extended distances is a priority. The 6–24× magnification range provides a field of view of 6.8 metres at 100 metres at minimum power — broad for a scope at this magnification range — while the 24× upper end delivers the image scale needed for confident aim point placement on small field target kill zones at competition distances.

The 50mm objective lens, combined with the wide-angle 30mm chassis and 16-layer fully multi-coated lenses, delivers high light transmission and a clear image across the magnification range. An exit pupil of 8.3 mm at 6× provides adequate image brightness at minimum magnification. The 102mm of eye relief is consistent with the rest of the Airmax 30 WA SF lineup and provides comfortable clearance on spring-powered and PCP air rifle platforms alike.

The SFP AMX IR reticle maintains a consistent size at all magnification settings, with airgun-specific holdover marks illuminated in red across 6 brightness levels and off positions between each step. The side-mounted parallax knob covers 9 metres to infinity and is supplied with a 4" removable sidewheel. The capped target turrets provide 17 MRAD of elevation and windage adjustment in 1/10 MRAD click increments. A 4" sunshade and metal flip-up lens covers are included as standard. Overall length is 378 mm and weight is 770 g.

About Hawke

Hawke Optics is a British optics brand registered in England and Wales, with products distributed across Europe, North America, and international markets. The company produces a broad range of optical products including riflescopes, airgun scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, red dot sights, and laser rangefinders, covering applications from hunting and precision shooting to nature observation and marine use.

Hawke organises its riflescope lineup into distinct optical system tiers — from the entry-level H2 through H5 to the flagship H7 — with each tier reflecting the glass specification, coating technology, and mechanical feature level of the products within it. The Airmax series is Hawke's dedicated airgun scope range, developed in consultation with airgun shooters for the specific optical and mechanical requirements of air rifle shooting.
