The absence of a zoom mechanism means fewer moving elements in the optical path, which can contribute to a more consistent image and eliminates the possibility of magnification shift during use. For competition airgun shooters who have identified 10× as their preferred magnification for a specific course layout, a fixed-power scope removes the temptation or risk of accidentally changing zoom mid-stage.
• Wide-Angle 30mm Chassis with 44mm Objective: The 30mm wide-angle mono-tube chassis combined with 16-layer fully multi-coated lenses and a 44mm objective delivers high light transmission and a clear image at the fixed 10× magnification. An exit pupil of 4.4mm — determined by the fixed magnification and objective size — is well suited to typical outdoor airgun shooting light conditions.

The 102mm of eye relief matches the full-size Airmax 30 WA SF series, accommodating a wide range of air rifle mounting configurations.
• Side Focus from 9 Metres with 4" Sidewheel: The side-mounted parallax knob covers 9 metres to infinity, supplied as standard with a large 4" removable sidewheel. At a fixed 10×, accurate parallax correction is directly relevant to shot placement accuracy — any residual parallax error at this magnification is immediately apparent and can cause a visible shift in apparent point of aim when the eye moves slightly off-centre.

The Hawke Airmax 30 WA SF 10x44 AMX IR is the only fixed-magnification model in the Airmax 30 WA SF series, designed for airgun competition and precision airgun shooting use cases where a consistent, unchanging 10× image is preferred over the flexibility of variable magnification. The fixed 10× optical system provides a field of view of 4 metres at 100 metres — the same field available at 10× on the variable models in the series — with the optical simplicity that a fixed-power design allows.

The 44mm objective lens, combined with the wide-angle 30mm chassis and 16-layer fully multi-coated lenses, delivers high light transmission and a clear image at the fixed magnification. An exit pupil of 4.4mm provides adequate image brightness for typical outdoor competition and hunting use. The 102mm of eye relief is consistent with the rest of the Airmax 30 WA SF lineup and accommodates a range of air rifle platforms and shooting positions.

The SFP AMX IR reticle provides airgun-calibrated holdover marks illuminated in red with 6 brightness levels and off positions between each step. The side-mounted parallax knob covers 9 metres to infinity, supplied with a 4" removable sidewheel for tactile parallax correction. The capped target turrets provide 16 MRAD of elevation and windage adjustment in 1/10 MRAD click increments. A 4" sunshade and metal flip-up lens covers are included as standard.
