Dorr Alpina LX 7x50

• 7x50 configuration: The combination of 7x magnification and a 50 mm objective lens gives this binocular a bright, steady image that is easy to hold, making it well suited to scanning open ground, shoreline areas, or woodland edges in fading light.
• Classical Porro prism design: The Porro prism layout supports strong depth perception and a spacious view, which helps with locating birds, game, and distant landmarks more naturally than many compact roof-prism designs.
• Wide 119 m field of view: A broad field at 1000 m makes it easier to follow moving subjects and search large areas quickly, which is useful for bird watching, general observation, and hunting from fixed positions.
• Central focusing with right-eye diopter: The central focus wheel allows quick adjustment for changing distances, while the right eyepiece diopter helps balance differences between the eyes for a cleaner, more relaxed view.
• Nitrogen-filled, tripod-adaptable body: Nitrogen filling helps resist internal fogging during temperature changes, and the tripod socket gives a stable option for long observation sessions.

About the Danubia Alpina Series

The Danubia Alpina series is built as a universal binocular range with a traditional Porro-prism design, aimed at users who want straightforward handling and a bright, spacious image for general outdoor observation. Within the range, DÖRR offers several fixed-magnification models, including 8x40, 7x50, 10x50, 12x50 and 20x50, so the series covers everything from all-round daytime use to more specialized long-distance viewing.

A shared design theme across the line is practical field usability. All Alpina LX models use a central focusing wheel for quick adjustment, retractable eyecups to improve comfort for eyeglass wearers, and a 1/4-inch tripod socket for steadier observation when higher magnification or longer sessions demand more support. The series also combines multicoated optics with BK7 prisms and a rubber-armored exterior, balancing image brightness, everyday durability, and secure handling. In DÖRR's optics offering, the Alpina LX line sits as a classic, accessible choice for users who prefer the familiar viewing character of Porro binoculars over more compact roof-prism formats.

About the Dorr Alpina LX 7x50

The Dorr Alpina LX 7x50 is configured for users who value a calm image, strong brightness, and easy long-duration viewing. Its 7x magnification is easier to hold steady than higher-power binoculars, which makes it a practical choice for hunting optics, bird watching, and general landscape observation where fast target acquisition matters more than extreme reach. Paired with a 50.00 mm objective lens, it delivers a generous 7.14 mm exit pupil, helping the image stay bright and comfortable in low-light conditions such as dawn, dusk, or overcast weather.

The binocular also offers a 119.00 m/1000m field of view, giving the user a broad visual window for scanning terrain and following movement. Its Porro prism construction supports a more pronounced sense of depth, which can make distance relationships in the field easier to read. The multicoated lenses help preserve contrast and light transmission, while the central focusing system keeps operation simple when shifting between near and far subjects. A right-eye diopter adjustment allows the view to be tuned to the individual observer.

Mechanically, the single-hinge body keeps the binocular straightforward to handle, and the nitrogen-filled housing helps prevent internal fogging when conditions change. The body is also tripod adaptable, which is useful for prolonged glassing from a hide, vehicle, or observation point. Altogether, this 7x50 format favors viewing comfort and brightness over compactness, making it especially suitable where stable, relaxed observation is the priority.

About Dorr

Dörr GmbH was founded in 1973 and is based in Neu-Ulm, Bavaria, Germany. The company works internationally in importing and exporting and offers products under its own DÖRR brand while also distributing products from other brands. In the optics field, its range includes binoculars, spotting scopes, and telescopes, covering practical observation equipment for outdoor and recreational use.

For sport optics, DÖRR markets products under the Danubia name. This gives the company a dedicated optics label associated with traditional binocular formats and accessible observation equipment. That background is relevant to the Alpina LX line, which reflects a familiar European approach to field binoculars: clear model segmentation, practical handling, and specifications aimed at real outdoor use rather than niche specialization.
