DD Optics Pirschler 8x56

• 8x56 low-light format: The combination of 8x magnification and a 56 mm objective lens delivers a bright, steady image that suits dawn, dusk, and woodland observation where detail can fade quickly with smaller binoculars.
• Abbe/Koenig roof prisms: This prism design supports strong light transmission and a natural, high-contrast image, which is especially useful for hunting binoculars intended for twilight use.
• 20 mm eye relief: The generous eye relief makes the binocular comfortable for extended glassing and easier to use with glasses, helping maintain a full field of view without a cramped viewing position.
• Wide 129.50 m field of view: A broad view at 1000 m makes it easier to scan edges, fields, and forest openings, so locating and following moving game feels quicker and more natural.
• Waterproof, fogproof construction: Nitrogen filling and weather-resistant sealing help the binocular stay dependable in rain, cold mornings, and changing temperatures when hunting optics are often exposed to moisture.

About the DD Optics Pirschler Series

The DD Optics Pirschler series sits in the brand’s hunting and low-light binocular range and is built around the needs of users who spend long periods observing in difficult light. The line includes both 45 mm and 56 mm models, with the 45 mm versions aimed more at stalking and mobile use, while the larger 56 mm models are intended for twilight observation and low-light hunting. Across the series, DD Optics uses Abbe–König prisms, CT glass, and DDlucid coatings to prioritise image brightness, contrast, and a calm, natural view.

The Pirschler family is also defined by a practical field design. The binoculars use magnesium housings with Best-Grip armour, and they are nitrogen-filled and waterproof for reliable use in wet weather and changing temperatures. Magnification options in the series include 8×, 10×, 12×, and 15×, giving the range a clear spread from general hunting observation to more specialised long-distance use. Within DD Optics’ binocular lineup, the Pirschler models are the ones most clearly focused on hunters who want strong low-light performance without moving to a much bulkier observation platform.

About the DD Optics Pirschler 8x56

The DD Optics Pirschler 8x56 is the low-light specialist in this format, combining 8x magnification with a 56 mm objective lens to produce a bright image and a forgiving viewing experience in the last usable light of the day. This configuration is well suited to hide hunting, edge-of-forest observation, and general game spotting where image brightness matters more than high magnification. The 7.00 mm exit pupil supports easy eye placement and a relaxed view, while the 129.50 m field of view at 1000 m helps cover ground efficiently when scanning for movement.

Its optical layout uses Abbe/Koenig roof prisms and fully multicoated lenses, a combination chosen for strong transmission, contrast, and a natural image rather than compactness alone. The 20.00 mm eye relief is especially useful for eyeglass wearers and for anyone spending long sessions behind the binocular. A close focus of 2.50 m also makes the Pirschler 8x56 more versatile than many dedicated low-light binoculars, allowing it to handle nearby subjects as well as distant observation.

Mechanically, the binocular is built for field use with an open-bridge body, central focusing, right-eyepiece diopter adjustment, and nitrogen filling. Its waterproof and fogproof construction helps maintain a clear view in rain, cold air, and rapid temperature changes. At 1151.00 g, it is not a lightweight hiking binocular, but that weight reflects a design focused on stability, light-gathering ability, and dependable hunting use in demanding conditions.

About DD Optics

DD Optics is a German optics company founded in 2007 in Dresden, Germany. The business later moved its headquarters to Chemnitz in 2012 and remains a family-owned company.
