Bushnell Nitro 3-12x44

• 3-12x magnification range: Covers the practical middle ground between close woodland shots and longer open-country holds, so one riflescope can serve stalking, mountain hunting, and general-purpose field use.
• 44 mm objective lens: Balances light-gathering ability with a trim hunting profile, helping maintain a bright image at dawn and dusk without adding the bulk of a larger objective.
• Side parallax adjustment: Lets the shooter fine-tune focus from 9.2m to infinity, which improves target definition and reduces aiming error at varying distances.
• Fully multi-coated optics: Support better contrast and light transmission, making it easier to separate game from background detail in low, flat, or changing light.
• 30 mm tube with IPX-7 waterproofing: Provides useful internal adjustment range in a durable hunting scope body that stands up well to rain, rough weather, and field carry.

About the Bushnell Nitro Series

Bushnell Nitro riflescopes were introduced in 2018 as a versatile line for hunters and precision shooters who want modern optical features in a practical field-ready format. Across the series, Bushnell built the Nitro family around fully multi-coated optics, giving the line a clear emphasis on usable contrast and low-light performance rather than oversized dimensions or specialist-only configurations. Another defining feature of the series is EXO Barrier on the exterior lens surfaces, a protective coating that helps repel water, oil, fog, dust, and debris so the sight picture stays easier to maintain in poor weather and dirty hunting conditions.

The Nitro range also follows a flexible design philosophy. Models are offered in first- or second-focal-plane layouts, with both capped and target-style turret configurations depending on whether the scope is intended more for hunting carry or deliberate dialing. Side parallax adjustment is a consistent part of the series, and Bushnell has cataloged reticle options such as Deploy MOA, Deploy MIL, and Multi-X. With magnification options running from 2.5–10x to 6–24x, the Nitro family covers everything from mobile stalking rifles to longer-range crossover setups.

About the Bushnell Nitro 3-12x44

The Bushnell Nitro 3-12x44 is a hunting riflescope built around a very usable magnification window. At 3x, it remains manageable for shorter shots and moving game in tighter terrain, while 12x gives enough image scale for careful shot placement across open ground or steep mountain faces. That makes it a strong fit for stalking, mixed-terrain hunting, and general-purpose centerfire rifle setups where versatility matters more than extreme magnification.

The optical layout supports that role well. A 44 mm objective lens gives a sensible balance between brightness and handling, while the fully multi-coated lens system helps preserve contrast in the low, uneven light common at first and last shooting hours. The field of view, from 10.00 m/100m down to 2.60 m/100m, gives a broad enough picture for scanning at low power and a more concentrated view for precise aiming at higher magnification. With a constant 99.10 mm eye relief, the scope also maintains a comfortable head position on hunting rifles with moderate recoil.

Mechanically, this model stays focused on reliability in the field. The 30 mm tube provides solid adjustment travel, with 60.00 MOA of elevation and windage available for zeroing flexibility. Capped turrets suit a hunting optic because they protect the settings from accidental movement during carry, while the 1/4 MOA click value allows straightforward zeroing corrections. The side-focus parallax adjustment from 9.2m to infinity helps keep the image sharp across changing distances, and the IPX-7 waterproof, nitrogen-filled, fogproof, shockproof construction is designed for hard outdoor use in wet and variable conditions.

About Bushnell

Bushnell was founded in 1948 by Dave Bushnell. The company grew from Dave Bushnell’s work selling optical products through a photographic shop in Pasadena, California, and it developed into a specialist in sports optics and outdoor equipment. Bushnell’s product range includes binoculars, riflescopes, red dot sights, rangefinders, spotting scopes, and trail cameras, reflecting a long focus on practical optics for hunting, target shooting, birding, and nature observation.

Within shooting and hunting optics, Bushnell is known for broad product families such as Legend, Prime, Elite Tactical, and AR Optics. One of its notable optical technologies is EXO Barrier, a lens coating designed to repel water, oil, dust, and debris on exposed lens surfaces. In 2013, ATK completed its acquisition of Bushnell Group Holdings, marking an important point in the company’s later corporate history while Bushnell continued to build its reputation around accessible, field-oriented optics.
