Bushnell Engage 2.5-10x44

• 2.5-10x magnification range: Covers close to mid-range shooting with one scope, giving a wide view at 2.5x for fast target pickup and enough top-end magnification at 10x for more precise shot placement.
• 44 mm objective lens: Balances light-gathering ability with a practical overall size, helping maintain a bright sight picture without making the rifle unnecessarily bulky.
• Locking tactical turrets: Exposed, tool-free zero-reset turrets are easier to dial in the field or on the range, while the locking function helps prevent accidental changes during transport or movement.
• Side-focus parallax adjustment: Adjustable from 9.2m to infinity, allowing a sharper target image and more precise aiming at varying distances, especially useful for rimfire, target, and general-purpose field shooting.
• Fully multi-coated optics: Coated lenses improve contrast and light transmission, which helps the reticle stand out more clearly and reduces eye strain during longer shooting sessions.

About the Bushnell Engage Series

Bushnell Engage riflescopes were introduced in 2017 as a versatile line for shooters who split time between the range and field use. Within Bushnell’s lineup, the series sits as a practical step into feature-rich hunting optics and target optics, combining modern mechanical features with a straightforward optical design. Engage models are offered in several magnification ranges, including 2.5-10x44, 3-12x42, 4-16x44, and 6-24x50, so the family covers everything from compact general-purpose setups to more deliberate precision work.

A defining trait of the series is its mix of configurations. Some Engage riflescopes use capped adjustments, while exposed-turret versions add tool-free zero-reset locking turrets for shooters who prefer dialing corrections. The line also uses fully multi-coated optics, and variants in the series include EXO Barrier, Bushnell’s protective lens coating that helps shed water, oil, dust, and debris. Reticle options are aimed at practical shooting rather than clutter, with the Deploy MOA pattern standing out for its holdover and windage references. Taken together, the Engage series is built for shooters who want useful adjustment features, clear sight pictures, and a scope format that remains manageable on hunting rifles, rimfires, and general-purpose centerfire setups.

About the Bushnell Engage 2.5-10x44

The Bushnell Engage 2.5-10x44 is a compact variable-power riflescope built for shooters who need one optic to cover short-to-medium distances without moving to a large long-range scope. Its 2.5-10x magnification range makes sense on rimfire rifles, light centerfire hunting rifles, and general target setups: the lower end keeps the image open enough for quicker target acquisition, while 10x provides the precision needed for careful shot placement and small targets. The 44.00 mm objective lens supports a bright, usable image while keeping the scope slimmer than larger objective designs.

This model uses a 30 mm tube and a second focal plane reticle layout, which keeps the reticle visually consistent as magnification changes. That makes the sight picture easy to read across the zoom range, especially for shooters who prefer a familiar reticle appearance at all powers. The Engage 2.5-10x44 is also set up for practical dialing, with 1/4 MOA clicks, locking tactical turrets, and multi-turn adjustment travel. In use, that means corrections can be made with precision, then protected against accidental movement once the rifle is carried or repositioned.

The side-focus system adjusts from 9.2m to infinity, which is especially useful when shooting at mixed distances where parallax error and image sharpness matter. A 91.40 mm eye relief helps maintain a comfortable shooting position, and the fast-focus eyepiece speeds up reticle sharpening to the shooter’s eye. With its IPX-7 waterproof, fogproof, nitrogen-filled construction and matte black finish, this Bushnell riflescope is designed for regular outdoor use in changing weather rather than bench-only conditions.

About Bushnell

Bushnell was founded in 1948 by Dave Bushnell. He began selling optical products from a photographic shop in Pasadena, California, and the company grew into a well-known name in sports optics and outdoor equipment. Bushnell focuses on products for hunting, target shooting, birding, and nature observation, with a catalog that includes binoculars, riflescopes, red dot sights, rangefinders, spotting scopes, and trail cameras.

In riflescopes and related optics, Bushnell is known for combining practical field features with accessible product lines. Its range includes families such as Legend, Prime, Elite Tactical, AR Optics, and Engage, covering everything from general hunting optics to more specialized precision shooting applications. Bushnell also developed EXO Barrier, a lens coating designed to repel water, oil, dust, and debris, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on real outdoor usability rather than purely catalog specifications.
