AL Mar S.E.R.E. 2020 Night G Series, D2, 90 mm, Traditional

• S.E.R.E. heritage design: The S.E.R.E. pattern comes from a knife concept tied to survival and field use, giving this folder a practical shape and layout that suits everyday carry as well as outdoor tasks.
• 90 mm plain-edge blade: The straight, plain cutting edge is easy to control for clean slicing, food prep, cord cutting and general utility work, without the drag of a serrated edge.
• Foldable modular construction: The folding format keeps the knife compact in a pack or pocket, while the modular build supports a solid, serviceable feel for regular use.
• Satin-finished stainless blade: The satin finish gives the blade a clean, understated appearance, and the stainless steel construction helps the knife handle routine exposure to moisture and daily carry conditions.
• Carry clip and 130 g weight: With a metal pocket clip and moderate carry weight, the knife stays accessible and secure for travel, sport activities and day-to-day field use.

About the S.E.R.E. 2020 Night G Series

The S.E.R.E. 2020 Night G Series continues one of AL Mar’s best-known knife families in a modern folding format aimed at users who want a compact field and utility knife with clear roots in military-inspired design. The S.E.R.E. name is closely associated with practical survival use, and in the 2020 generation that idea is carried into a series built for everyday carry, outdoor tasks and general-purpose cutting.

Within the AL Mar lineup, this series sits as a tactical-style folding knife range that balances portable dimensions, straightforward one-blade utility and a clean, durable build. The Night G versions add a darker visual character while keeping the same emphasis on function. Across the series, the design philosophy is simple: a folding knife should open into a capable working tool, carry easily when closed, and avoid unnecessary bulk or gimmicks. That makes the S.E.R.E. 2020 Night G models relevant for users who move between daily carry, travel and outdoor use and want a knife that feels purposeful rather than specialized for only one narrow role.

About the AL Mar S.E.R.E. 2020 Night G Series, D2, 90 mm, Traditional

The AL Mar S.E.R.E. 2020 Night G Series, D2, 90 mm, Traditional is built around a 90.00 mm blade and a 220.00 mm overall length, giving it enough reach for controlled cutting while remaining compact enough for routine carry. In practice, this size works well for common outdoor and utility jobs such as trimming cord, opening packages, preparing food at camp and handling general travel gear.

The knife uses a straight blade with a plain edge, a combination that favors predictable cutting performance and easy maintenance. For most users, that means cleaner slicing through rope, cardboard and similar materials, plus simpler sharpening in the field or at home. The satin finish keeps reflections and visual clutter low while giving the blade a clean, traditional appearance that suits the model’s understated style.

Its foldable blade construction makes the knife easier to carry safely in a pocket or bag than a fixed blade of similar cutting length, and the folded length of 120.00 mm keeps it manageable when stowed. At 130.00 g, it has enough substance to feel secure in hand without becoming cumbersome for daily carry. The metal carrying clip improves access and retention, while the black handle keeps the look discreet and functional. Overall, this model is best understood as a practical tactical-style folder with traditional cutting geometry and dimensions that suit both everyday utility and outdoor use.

About AL Mar

Al Mar founded AL MAR Knives in 1979, drawing on a background that included service in a Green Beret special operations group in Vietnam. From the beginning, the company developed many of its knives with police and military use in mind, which helped establish the brand’s reputation for purposeful, field-oriented designs rather than purely decorative pieces.

One of the company’s defining product families is the SERE knife, a name linked to Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape, and a design that was accepted for use at the SERE Instructor School at Camp Mackall, North Carolina. Over time, the range expanded beyond tactical patterns to include hunting, fishing, folding and rescue knives. Since January 1, 2019, the manufacture, distribution and sale of AL MAR Knives have been handled by Edge Technologies Engineering, LLC.
