A great choice for a micro-compact optic-ready pistol
At Shot Show 2024, we visited the Burris booth, keen to see their new products for 2024. This year, Burris made a particularly strong impression. In this article, we are excited to feature the new Fastfire C red dot sight. The Fastfire name is already well-regarded among red dot sight enthusiasts, with the Fastfire 4 model enjoying significant success among optic-ready pistol owners. Despite the popularity of Fastfire red dot sights within the optic-ready pistol community, Burris had yet to release a micro-compact open reflex red dot sight for micro-compact optic-ready pistols. That changed at Shot Show 2024 with the introduction of the Fastfire C.
In addition to the Fastfire C, Burris showcased the Veracity PH Gen II series of riflescopes and the Eliminator 6 4–20×52.
Shield RMS mounting standard
The newly launched Fastfire C features the popular Shield RMS mounting standard, a leading choice for compact open reflex sights. With many micro-compact pistols pre-equipped for this standard, the installation of the Fastfire C does not necessitate additional plates, enabling a low-profile setup.
Packed with features
The Fastfire C is equipped with a 6 MOA red dot, ideally suited for pistol use as it facilitates rapid target acquisition and delivers satisfactory accuracy over short to medium distances.
The device’s glass is designed to resist scratches, and its housing is constructed from durable polymer to minimize weight. Additionally, the lens receives extra protection from its broad frame.
A single CR2032 battery powers the Fastfire C, offering up to 25,000 hours of operation. Operation is straightforward, with a single button controlling the device, allowing users to choose between automatic and manual modes. In automatic mode, the brightness automatically adjusts to the surrounding light, while the manual mode offers five levels of brightness intensity.
A notable feature of the Fastfire C is its detachable rear sight.
Rounding out Burris’ range of open reflex red dot sights
In the US, the Fastfire C is already available for purchase – it retails for 225 $. Its release in Europe is anticipated soon. The Fastfire C rounds out Burris‘ range of pistol red dot sights and, based on our observations at Shot Show 2024, it is anticipated to enjoy the same level of popularity as other Fastfire red dot sights.
