Riton X7 Tactix 1-8x28

• True 1-8x LPVO range: The 1x low end works like a fast close-range sight picture for both-eyes-open shooting, while 8x magnification adds the precision needed for smaller targets and longer holds.
• First focal plane illuminated reticle: The FFP reticle keeps its subtensions consistent through the zoom range, so holdovers and ranging remain usable at any magnification, while red illumination helps the center stand out in bright daylight.
• 34 mm main tube with broad adjustment travel: The larger tube and generous 175 MOA elevation and windage range give more room for zeroing and setup flexibility on rifles used across varied distances.
• Capped, zero-resettable turrets: This layout protects the settings from accidental movement during transport or field use, while still allowing straightforward re-indexing after zeroing.
• Japanese optical system with fully multicoated lenses: The optical design is built to deliver a bright, high-contrast image, helping the shooter pick up targets faster and maintain a clearer view through changing light and background conditions.

About the Riton X7 Series

The Riton X7 series sits at the upper end of Riton’s earlier riflescope lineup and was built around Japanese glass and optical systems. Within the family, Riton divided the range by application, with Primal models aimed at hunting, Tactix models intended for short-range and tactical use, and Conquer models developed for long-range precision shooting and competition. That structure made the X7 line easy to navigate for shooters who wanted a scope matched to a specific role rather than a one-size-fits-all design.

Across the series, the emphasis was on stronger optical performance and more refined mechanics than entry-level models, while still keeping the controls practical in the field. The X7 family included both low-power variable optics and higher-magnification precision scopes, so the line covered everything from fast carbine work to deliberate distance shooting. In the X7 Tactix branch, the focus was on rapid target acquisition, useful reticle function through the zoom range, and durable construction for hard use. As a result, the X7 name became associated with optics that balanced clear glass, application-specific reticle design, and robust mechanical layout in a more premium format within Riton’s catalog.

About the Riton X7 Tactix 1-8x28

The Riton X7 Tactix 1-8x28 is a low power variable riflescope built for carbines and rifles that need to move between close-range speed and mid-range precision. At 1x, it supports a fast, open sight picture that suits dynamic shooting, training, and practical tactical use. Turning up to 8x gives the shooter enough magnification to place shots more precisely, identify smaller targets more confidently, and make better use of the reticle at distance.

A key part of that versatility is the first focal plane illuminated reticle. Because the reticle scales with magnification, its hold points stay proportionally correct throughout the zoom range, which is especially useful when the shooter does not want to be locked to one power setting for ranging or holdovers. The daytime-usable red illumination helps the aiming point stand out in bright conditions, making the scope more effective at the low end where speed matters most.

The mechanical layout also suits a working LPVO. Capped turrets reduce the chance of accidental adjustment, while the zero-resettable design keeps setup simple after sight-in. A 34 mm tube and wide internal adjustment range add flexibility for mounting and zeroing, and the fast-focus eyepiece helps the shooter sharpen the reticle quickly. With its 277.00 mm length, 709.00 g weight, nitrogen-filled construction, and waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof build, this riflescope is configured for regular field use rather than occasional range sessions.

About Riton

Riton Optics was founded in 2013, with its first consumer sales beginning in 2016. The company is based in Tucson, Arizona, United States, and focuses on sporting optics for rifle, carbine, and field use. Its catalog has included riflescopes, red-dot sights, and binoculars, with product families organized by intended application rather than only by price point.

Within that lineup, Riton has used named lines such as Primal, Tactix, and Conquer to separate hunting, tactical, and precision-oriented products. The brand is also known for using fully multi-coated lenses with anti-reflective coatings, and in some optics it has employed high-density and extra-low-dispersion glass to improve image quality. That approach gives Riton a clear identity in the shooting optics market: practical feature sets, application-specific designs, and an emphasis on optical performance that supports real field use.
